How to complete MW3 Zombies Freezer Burn mission: Objectives & Cryo Freeze ammo

The Freezer Burn mission in MW3 Zombies tasks players with killing zombies with a special type of ammo found in Urzikstan. To complete this objective, you will first need to ready your weapons with Cryo Freeze, so here’s how to find the ammo mod and complete the Act 1 tier 3 mission in MW3.

MW3 Zombies features a new take on Zombies storytelling and tasks players with different tiers of missions across three separate Acts. For some of these objectives, you will be required to kill zombies with a special ammo mod that can’t be found that easily.

To complete the Freezer Burn mission in Act 1 of MW3 Zombies, you will need to mod your weapon with Cryo Freeze, a special type of ammo that freezes targets on the spot. In addition to killing zombies, you’ll have to take down a different type of enemy, so be on the lookout for hellish dogs.

Here’s how to complete the MW3 Zombies Freezer Burn mission.

MW3 Zombies Freezer Burn mission objectives

Once you complete Act 1 mission tiers 1 & 2, you will unlock the Freezer Burn mission in MW3 Zombies. The mission tasks players with two different objectives that will require the Cryo Freeze ammo mod to be completed.

Here are the Freezer Burn mission objectives in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies:

• Slow 50 zombies with Cryo Freeze ammo.
• Slow 10 hellhounds with Cryo Freeze ammo.

With the Cryo Freeze ammo mod, you will need to shoot 50 zombies and 10 hellhounds until you get the desired amount of kills. When you shoot enemies with this ammo mod, they’ll freeze for a few seconds, and you can kill them easier that way.

Once you complete it, you will earn a Baseball Fan Calling Card and 1500 points of XP.

How to get Cryo Freeze ammo mod in MW3 Zombies

To obtain the Cryo Freeze ammo mod for the Freezer Burn mission in MW3 Zombies, you can either craft it using schematics or obtain it as a reward for completing the Take Up Arms mission in Act 1.

If you have already used the Cryo Freeze ammo reward, you can pay the Elemental Pop Machines 2000 points to buy a random ammo type. With some luck, the freezing ammo might show up.

Another simple option is to find a nearby Aether Nest and clear it out by shooting the yellow glowing eyes in it. After that, you can claim your rewards from the chests inside the area containing at least one type of ammo mod.
