How to get free Zombie Ghost Operator in Modern Warfare 3, MW2 & Warzone

Zombies returns to Call of Duty in November’s Modern Warfare 3 and to celebrate, you can get your hands on an undead Ghost skin in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone that will carry over to Modern Warfare 3. Here’s how to get the Zombie Ghost Operator skin in Call of Duty.

Modern Warfare 3 is a direct sequel to 2022’s Modern Warfare 2, bringing highly requested features and mechanics, classic maps from the original MW2, and the fan-favorite Zombies mode. While the full reveal will be at Call of Duty Next, the devs have started teasing what players can expect.

Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies takes place in an “open-world, player-versus-environment” with “the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever,” but before it arrives, the devs have given Zombies fans a little treat with the Zombie Ghost Operator skin.

This new Operator skin turns fan-favorite character Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley into one of the undead, so here’s how to unlock the skin in Modern Warfare 2, Warzone, and Modern Warfare 3 thanks to the content carrying forward.

How to get Zombie Ghost in Warzone, Modern Warfare 3 & MW2

To unlock the Zombie Ghost Operator in Call of Duty, simply pre-order any version of Modern Warfare 3. The game arrives on November 10 so pre-purchase the game and Zombie Ghost will be available for you in not only Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone, but also Modern Warfare 3 at launch.

If you missed out on the Task Force 141 Operator skins in Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 then this is the next best thing. Although still in his Nightwar outfit from the Battle Pass, this version of Ghost has bloodstains, dead white eyes, and rotten flesh.

Zombie Ghost Operator release date

The Zombie Ghost Operator arrives in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone on September 27, the start of Season 6, and will be playable in Modern Warfare 3 on its November 10 launch.

If you pre-order Modern Warfare 3 before Season 6 then it’ll become available on September 27 and any time after Season 6 will unlock it instantly. No matter when you pre-order, it’ll be instantly unlocked in Modern Warfare 3.
