Black Ops 6 players are gearing up to hop into the second weekend of the beta, but you’ll need to level up quickly to unlock every reward.

The beta features Operator skins and weapon Blueprints to unlock, all of which carry over to the full game and Warzone when it integrates in Season 1.

So, if you want to rank up as quickly as possible in Black Ops 6, here are some tips to help you breeze through the levels.

How to earn XP quickly in BO6

Play the objective

This may seem like an obvious one, but sticking to the objective in a specific game mode is a great way to earn a ton of bonus XP. Although running around and getting kills will still count toward your progress, you’ll be handsomely rewarded for helping your team.

This means going after the HVT in Kill Order, capturing the zones in Domination, and holding the Hardpoint. Each one grants plenty of extra points each time you attach or defend them successfully, and this is all taken into account when dishing the match bonus at the end.

Stick to objective modes

Following on from the previous point, if you want to level up quickly in Black Ops 6 it’s best to play objective-based game modes. This is because modes like Dom or Hardpoint give more opportunities for bonus XP per kill, as opposed to TDM which simply rewards you for elimination itself.

In playlists with more complex goals, you have the potential for extra points for capturing, defending, and clearing key positions. Plus, these games tend to last much longer, so overall it’s a much more effective use of your time.

The downside is that the beta doesn’t let you pick which mode you want to play, but you can always back out if Team Deathmatch pops up in the hopes of finding something better. You can also vote for map and mode combinations before a match, so make sure to pick the objective mode wherever possible.

Play in a squad

Although there are no squad bonuses in the beta like there are in MW3, it’s still best to play with friends if you want to maximize your gains. This is because it makes it much easier to coordinate and play the objective if you’re mic’d up.

By communicating with your team to decide the right times and places to push, you’ve got a greater chance of winning the game and racking up plenty of bonus XP to increase your rank in the process.

Complete Daily Challenges

You can also complete Daily Challenges for an extra dose of XP during the Black Ops 6 beta. These refresh every 24 hours and offer between 2,500 and 5,000 XP per objective, as well as an additional 5,000 XP for doing all three before they expire.

These tasks are usually fairly straightforward, requiring you to win a certain number of games, earn kills with a specific weapon type, or get kills in a certain way. We recommend burning through these each day, as they can often be done in just a couple of matches and can drastically speed up the process.

The Black Ops 6 Open Beta kicks off on September 6 and runs until the 9th, so be sure to make full use of these tips to claim the Bug Smasher XM4 Blueprint before it goes offline. You can also check out our tier list of every weapon so you know exactly which guns to be running.
