How to turn off Tac-Stance in Modern Warfare 3

Modern Warfare 3 has finally entered Season 1 and you can try out the likes of RAM-7 and the XRK Stalker on new 6v6 maps such as Meat. You can also change your movement settings for better gameplay, and here’s how to turn off Tac-Stance in MW3.

From the return of classic maps to tons of new weapons, Equipment, and a transformed Perk system, the Modern Warfare 3 launch had plenty of things to hype up the community. We have now entered Season 1 which brings new 6v6 maps, weapons, and a lot more to the table.

To climb the ranks in the new season, players must ensure that their device is running the game seamlessly. Audio and video settings are a great way to customize your experience, and on top of that, you can also alter the movement settings to always be one step ahead of the opponents.

Tac-Stance, a new aiming option in MW3, lets you hit the sweet spot between aiming down sights and hip firing. The stance grants more mobility than when aiming down sights and reduces the bullet spread that comes with hip firing.

However, you can turn off Tac-Stance fairly easily in Modern Warfare 3, and here’s how to do it.

How to disable MW3 Tac-Stance

To turn off the option for Tac-Stance when aiming down sights in Modern Warfare 3, follow these steps:

1. Boot up the game and head to the Settings.
2. Head to the ‘Controller‘ section.
3. Go to the ‘Gameplay‘ tab.
4. Scroll down to ‘Combat Behaviors.’
5. Find the setting called ‘Tactical ADS Activation.’
6. Press the setting and select the ‘Off’ option from the drop-down.
7. Tac-Stance will now be disabled in-game.

If you wish to enable Tac-Stance again in MW3, just simply follow the steps again and change the settings from ‘Off’ to ‘ADS + Down Button’ for the default. Some like to use the other inputs so select the one that you prefer.
