Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 have been announced, bringing back the fan-favorite Haunting event and new weapons including the Kastov LSW LMG.

Arriving on September 18, this will be the final seasonal update ahead of Black Ops 6’s October 25 launch. To celebrate the spooky season, horror icon Michael Myers joins alongside The Walking Dead’s Daryl Dixon. But of course, it’s also going to shake up the meta by bringing this powerful LMG that’s set to dominate close-range fights.

Here’s how to get the Kastov LSW in the final season before Black Ops 6.

How to get Kastov LSW in Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone

To unlock the Kastov LSW, complete Sector 9 of the Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 Battle Pass after it goes live on September 18.

New Call of Duty weapons are always free to unlock, so you don’t have to buy the Premium Battle Pass or BlackCell – just reach Sector 9 and unlock all of the rewards on that page. It shouldn’t take too long, especially when you can choose the most direct path.

You can go directly toward unlocking the Kastov LSW.

While LMGs are usually built for long-range fights with low mobility but huge magazines, the Kastov LSW is actually designed for short to medium range.

With the “best-in-class fire rate and Tac Stance accuracy,” you’ll be able to zip around in close-quarters fights without having to land every bullet or even aim to win the fight. Combined with an LMG’s magazine size and the LSW’s fast reload speed, you could be unstoppable on small maps.

Although designed for fighting up close, the devs also said you can build out the weapon for long-range by equipping attachments that increase its damage range and bullet velocity.

While the Kastov LSW is best suited for close-range, the brand-new DTIR 30-06 should suit accurate players who prefer long-range fights as despite its slow fire rate, it deals high damage per shot.

You’ll also be able to use both of these weapons in Warzone’s new Area 99 map with Black Ops 6’s integration, and Verdansk in 2025.
