How to unlock Static-HV SMG in MW3 & Warzone

The Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 update gives players a chance to unlock the Static-HV, a brand-new SMG.

This new weapon hasn’t been seen in previous Call of Duty titles, unlike the STG, which also arrives in the new season. Earning the Static-HV is straightforward, so here are all the details you need to know.

How to get Static-HV in MW3 & Warzone

You’ll need to complete Sector 6 of the Warzone and MW3 Season 5 Battle Pass to unlock the Static-HV.

It’s a free unlock, so you don’t need to purchase the premium version of the Battle Pass to earn the new SMG. The Season 5 Battle Pass launches on July 24, 2024, and once it’s live, you can dive straight in and start working your way towards the Static-HV.

The Submachine Gun is the final unlock in Sector 6, meaning you’ll need at least five Tokens in total to unlock the four smaller rewards and then finally the new gun.

If you do purchase the premium Season 5 Battle Pass, there’ll be a Blueprint for the Static-HV waiting for you in Sector 17.

Despite being small and compact, the SMG is described in the CoD Blog as “a bite-sized LMG.” The Static-HV has a “high fire rate and significant ammo capacity with a base of 50 rounds.”

The devs suggested that it can be built to specialize in hip-fire, Tac-Stance, and ADS, making it the ideal close-range option for any loadout.

The base magazine size of 50 Rounds means it could instantly compete with the other top options in the category such as the FJX Horus and Superi 46. This is because you can leave the factory magazine and use a different attachment slot to boost another one of its stats.
