Iconic Warzone Equipment meta again after massive Season 3 buff
ActivisionThere are few things Warzone players love more than seeing in-game features and content return, and after a massive buff, Season 3 continues with this bringing an iconic Equipment piece back into the meta.
Following the return of Rebirth Island in Warzone Season 3, players are excited to see other features and content return to the game, ranging from the iconic Kar98k to other beloved Equipment and features.
On that note, the devs introduced a sweeping overhaul of the Equipment in Warzone, buffing the iconic C4 Lethal Equipment, resembling how it worked in the original iteration of the battle royale.
The Season 3 update improved the C4’s radius to 7.8m, inner and outer damage, and velocity. To balance all these changes, the devs slightly increased the detonation delay. Following this buff, players noticed its improved performance, leading them to claim it has reentered the Equipment “meta.”
Despite being highly popular in the game’s original launch in 2020, after the release of the latest versions of Warzone, the C4 lost all its popularity following several nerfs, leaving the spot for the Semtex or the Throwing Knife.
According to a video shared by Warzone expert JGOD on X, with the Season 3 buff players can throw the C4 up to almost 20 meters without using Strong Arm, which further increases the distance by 10 meters. In addition, it can be quickly detonated with double interaction.
“I was using C4 all last night. ITS BACK!” a user claimed in the comments of the Reddit post. Before the update, the C4 felt restricted due to its lower speed, and shorter throwing distance placing users at a disadvantage when facing enemies.
Following the update, this explosive Equipment turned into a viable option allowing you to significantly damage enemies before engaging with them and destroy vehicles like the Heavy Chopper, taking advantage of the 45% of vehicle health buff introduced.
Whether your goal is to destroy vehicles in the classic Verdansk style or clear out buildings full of campers, seems like the C4 explosive could emerge as a favored option moving forward.
