Black Ops 6 had its worldwide reveal during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9, offering players a ton of details regarding Treyarch and Raven Software’s upcoming CoD title. Among them, the devs shared what players will need to access BO6 through Microsoft’s subscription service.

How to play Black Ops 6 with Xbox Game Pass
To play Black Ops 6 on Xbox Game Pass at launch, Xbox and PC players will be required to subscribe to Microsoft’s service. Here’s every requirement needed to play BO6 on each Game Pass available platform, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC:
- Game Pass Ultimate: Grants access to Black Ops 6’s Campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies online modes on Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One consoles (Digital Cross-Gen Bundle), and PC (Standard Edition).
- Game Pass PC: Grants access to Black Ops 6’s Campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies online modes on PC (Standard Edition).
- Game Pass Console: Grants access to Black Ops 6’s Campaign only on Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One consoles (Digital Cross-Gen Bundle). Game Pass Console subscribers need online console multiplayer access sold separately (Game Pass Core) to play the Multiplayer and Zombies.
- Game Pass Core: Grants online console multiplayer access, required to play Black Ops 6 multiplayer and Zombies modes on Xbox consoles, but doesn’t include access to the full game.
When is Black Ops 6 coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Black Ops 6 will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, on October 25, 2024. This was officially confirmed by a CoD blog post, making BO6 the first-ever premium Call of Duty title to be released on the Xbox Game Pass service on day one.
How much does Black Ops 6 cost with Xbox Game Pass?
CoD fans will have to pay for a Game Pass subscription to access Black Ops 6, here’s how much it currently costs per month depending on the Xbox Game Pass plan you pick:
- Full access to Black Ops 6 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One: $16.99 / £12.99 per month (Game Pass Ultimate)
- Full access to Black Ops 6 on PC: $16.99 / £12.99 per month (Game Pass PC)
- Access to Black Ops 6 Campaign on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One: $10.99 / £8.99 per month (Game Pass Console)
- Additional option to fully access Black Ops 6 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One: $20.98 / £15.98 (Game Pass Console + Core)
Additionally, as a benefit, you’ll also get access to other Xbox games, including a ton of classic CoD titles.
Additional Xbox Game Pass BO6 content
ActivisionXbox Game Pass subscribers will also receive additional BO6 content, including in-game bonuses, Beta access, and more. Here’s every pre-order benefit available and how you can get them:
- Woods Operator Pack: Subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console + Log into MW3 or Warzone on the platform where they are an active Game Pass subscriber before Black Ops 6 launches on October 25.
- Open Beta Early Access: Subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console before BO6 launches on October 25. Game Pass Console will require a Game Pass Core subscription to access multiplayer features.
- Game Pass Vault Edition Upgrade: Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console subscribers can upgrade to the BO6 Vault Edition of the game for $30 / £30. The upgrade gives access to all Vault Edition benefits: Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack, Mastercraft Weapon Collection, GobbleGum Pack, and Black Ops 6 Season 1 Black Cell.
Keep in mind that by unsubscribing from Xbox’s Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console without buying BO6, you will lose access to the game. You can regain access by either purchasing BO6 or resubscribing to any of the Game Pass plans mentioned.
