Modern Warfare 3: How to hide MW2 weapons

Modern Warfare 3 has landed, and not only does the game feature a ton of new weapons, attachments, and Equipment, but it also features MW2’s arsenal.

While this does provide an abundance of weapon options, the community have been fairly split about the decision to include MW2‘s weapons and attachments. If you’re someone who would rather only use and see MW3 weapons in the Gunsmith, luckily, there is a way to filter out the MW2 content.

So, for those wondering how to hide MW2 weapons in MW3, here’s everything you need to know.

Can you filter out MW2 weapons in MW3?

Yes, there is a way for players to filter their weapons in the Gunsmith so that they only see Modern Warfare 3 weapons, cutting out MW2’s.

If you’d like to know how to do this, follow these steps:

1. Start MW3 and select multiplayer.
2. Head to the Custom Loadouts screen in the ‘Weapons’ tab.
3. Select a loadout.
4. Select the primary weapon slot.
5. Press R2/RT to bring up the ‘Weapons Filter’ tab.
6. Tick the ‘Modern Warfare 3’ option.
7. Now you will only see the MW3 weapons in the Custom Loadout Gunsmith.

Unfortunately, you can not currently filter out MW2 attachments in MW3. The only filter options you get for attachments are weapon stats, locked items, and Aftermarket Parts.
