How to Prestige in MW3: Max rank & system explained
ActivisionJust like all CoD titles, Modern Warfare 3 features a Prestige system to keep players on the grind throughout each season. Here’s everything you need to know about the Prestige system in MW3.
Modern Warfare 3 was packed full of unlockables at launch, from the new weapons to the different Perks and Equipment with unique effects. But just like all recent Call of Duty games, MW3 is set to be supported for many months through regular updates and content drops, and Season 1 is now live.
As part of the Season 1 update the Prestige system returned once again to give players more room to level up once they’ve hit the highest Military Rank, but how does it work?
Here’s everything you need to know about the Prestige system in Modern Warfare 3.
MW3 Prestige system explained
Modern Warfare 3 players automatically Prestige once they get past Level 55, meaning that Rank 56 unlocks Prestige 1.
Then with every 50 levels, players increase their Prestige Ranks, earning unique Calling Cards and Emblems along the way. The small badge next to a player’s name also changes with each new level to reflect their progress.
MW3 Season 1 brings five Prestige Ranks, so here’s a breakdown of the levels needed for each one:
- Prestige 1: Rank 56
- Prestige 2: Rank 100
- Prestige 3: Rank 150
- Prestige 4: Rank 200
- Prestige 5: Rank 250
This means that as of Modern Warfare 3 Season 1, the maximum level you can reach in multiplayer is Rank 250. As MW3 receives more updates in the coming months, fans can look forward to the maximum Prestige increasing, ensuring there’s plenty to grind towards throughout the game’s lifespan.
