Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 brings most popular MW2 maps to quickplay
ActivisionThe MW3 map pool increased with the Season 2 update bringing three new maps for players to explore. That’s not all, as the maps from the Modern Warfare 2 Moshpit playlist have been added to Modern Warfare 3’s quickplay rotation.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 brings a ton of content to the game for players to dive into as of February 7. Not only can players explore a new Battle Pass, new weapons, and a The Walking Dead crossover, but the Season 2 update also brought several new maps to MW3.
The MW3 Season 2 update added Stash House, Vista, and Departures as brand-new 6v6 maps to enjoy. To further increase the map pool, the devs also decided to include the maps from the Modern Warfare 2 Moshpit playlist into MW3’s quickplay rotation.
Thanks to the Carry Forward feature, plenty of content from MW2 2022 made its way to MW3 at launch, including weapons, Operators, and of course, several maps. Before the Season 2 update, players were only able to enjoy the MW2 maps in MW3 by selecting an exclusive Moshpit playlist that only featured the Carry Forward maps.
However, all that has changed with the MW3 Season 2 update, and players can now battle on the following six maps within the quickplay rotation.
- Farm 18
- Crown Raceway
- Mercado Las Almas
- Shoot House
- Breenbergh Hotel
- Dome
When you search for a match of your favorite game mode, whether that be S&D, Hardpoint, or Domination, you’ll have the opportunity to play on the previously mentioned maps, as well as all of the 6v6 maps in MW3.
At this point, there are only six maps that have made their way from MW2 2022 to MW3. However, we’ll keep you posted if and when more are added to the game’s quickplay rotation.
In addition, the map pool in MW3 is set to expand further when the Season 2 Reloaded update brings an updated version of Vanguard’s Das Haus to the game.
