MW3 Season 4 Reloaded brings a new Vortex map, Das Gross, into the five map remixed versions roster. These “otherworldly” versions completely change the design of the fan-favorite maps, which could shift how each one plays out.

So, if you’re wondering what the Vortex playlist is or which maps are included, here’s everything you need to know about the Mosh Pit.

What is Vortex Mosh Pit playlist?

The MW3 Vortex playlist is a combination of several game modes within six “otherworldly” versions of fan-favorite maps. The maps include Satan’s Quarry (Quarry), Sporeyard (Scrapyard), Tetanus (Rust), Skidgrow (Skidrow), Airborne (Terminal), and Das Gross (Das Haus).

The playlist includes four classic game modes, featuring Kill Confirmed, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, and Domination.

These remixed versions of the maps feature a mix of darker, spooky, and supernatural designs, however, changes are mainly cosmetic as all of them will maintain the same layouts.

During Season 1, the three remixed maps Satan’s Quarry, Tetanus, and Sporeyard were included in the Vortex mode, a Free-For-All variation in which one player spawned with a “one-shot Ray Gun“ from the Zombies.

Then, with Season 2 Reloaded, new maps were added (Airborne and Skidgrow) and the mode became just a Mosh Pit playlist which also returned to the game for Season 3’s Vortex Virus Mainframe event.

With Season 4 Reloaded, the Vortex playlist returns for a limited time with the addition of Das Gross. Similar to Season 3, it will also coincide with a Vortex-themed event called Death’s Grip which kicks off on July 10, 2024.

No matter which Vortex map you’re dropping into, be sure you have the best guns, controller, and audio settings equipped, allowing you to dominate your opponents and get as many kills as possible.
