MW3 expert reveals which underrated rifle “dominates” multiplayer

MW3 expert WhosImmortal has revealed an underrated rifle that now “dominates” in multiplayer after the Season 1 Reloaded update.

MW3 Season 1 Reloaded introduced some interesting balance changes, altering the meta and best weapons to use for both close and long range.

Warzone experts and content creators will often take their time to deep dive into the stats and figure out which weapons are the best to use after major updates such as the Season 1 Reloaded patch.

With that said, WhosImmortal has revealed a rifle that players should be using in MW3 after the update, which has been slept on so far in multiplayer.

The Chimera from MW2 currently has a 0.02% pick rate in MW3 multiplayer according to wzranked, but WhosImmortal believes it is now one of the meta rifles options in Season 1 Reloaded.

The content creator shared a build that “dominates as like an AR, SMG hybrid,” boasting great mobility and a competitive TTK. Here’s the full loadout that WhosImmortal recommends.

Barrel: 6.5″ EXF Vorpal
Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
Underbarrel: FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip
Rear Grip: D37 Grip
Laser: VLK LZR 7MW

Kicking off this MW3 Chimera loadout, WhosImmortal opts for the 6.5″ EXF Vorpal for the improved damage range, recoil control, and mobility. The L4R Flash Hider muzzle makes the weapon’s recoil much more subtle, helping with vertical and horizontal control.

To further improve recoil, both the D37 Grip and FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip provide some recoil and gun kick control, allowing you to stay on target, even when taking on fights that are a little out of range.

Lastly, the VLK LZR 7MW will provide a “snappier ADS and sprint to fire speed,” allowing you to lock onto targets as fast as possible.
