MW3 players convinced “AI players” are invading matches/lobbies

Modern Warfare 3 players are claiming to have found “AI players” in their multiplayer matches, as they share clips showing suspicious player movements and behavior.

Modern Warfare 3 is approaching its first season, and while the update is set to address various aspects of the game, from player concerns and glitches to weapon balance changes and new maps, Sledgehammer are yet to divulge any information regarding skill-based matchmaking (SBMM).

As matchmaking continues to dominate the narrative around MW3’s multiplayer, players are now convinced that the devs are also implementing “AI players” into games.

X user and content creator ‘wacke‘ shared a video that showed some suspicious behavior from an enemy player while they were enjoying a game of Rust on MW3. The movement of the player led them to believe that they were “AI,” which the community have been speculating about for some time now.

As you can see in the clip, the suspected AI player’s movements are pretty odd, as they spend the “whole game running around in circles,” occasionally “throwing decoys.”

The player said they saw them doing this “over and over,” leaving them very confused, “I don’t understand.”

In fact, another user shared a video in the comments showing a completely different player doing the exact same thing, claiming “they are identical.” After plenty of speculations, the movements on display led this player to believe they “found a real AI player.”

That said, after some “further digging,” wacke discovered that the player doing this was actually the “number 2 in the world on MWII for score.” So, with that information, it’s more likely that it’s not an AI player, but rather a player exploiting the game to get as much score and play as many games as possible in order to top the leaderboard.

One comment argued they were “farming XP,” while another suggested they could be using a “cronus script” that allows them to get into lobbies and not get kicked for inactivity by moving around and throwing decoys for extra XP on those that are fooled.

Whatever is going on here, it’s clearly leaving players suspicious, although there is no solid evidence to suggest it is an AI player. For more, make sure you check out why aiming feels “so bad” in MW3.
