MW3 & Warzone August 6 update patch notes – RPK, Superi 46 & WSP Stinger nerfs

An update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone arrived on August 6, bringing more weapon balance changes following the Season 5 update. After receiving a nerf on July 30, the Superi 46 is yet again the recipient of an adjustment that could have an impact on its viability in the battle royale.

Customization

  • Fixed an issue preventing the Lachmann-762 and TAQ-V Battle Rifles from equipping the Bioluminescent Camo.
  • Changed the default Finishing Move for the Rhea Ripley Operator to Riptide.

Multiplayer

  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed an issue preventing the JAK Burnout Kit from being equipped to the Holger 26 Light Machine Gun.

Maps

    • Fixed an issue preventing the Mosquito Drone from targetting enemy players.

Modes

  • COD Warrior
    • Fixed an issue causing players to die immediately in the Revive! Minigame.

Revive! will no longer occur if a team of less than 2 players exists.

  • Players downed during the Revive! Minigame will no longer be warned for inactivity.

Weapons & Attachments

Assault Rifles

  • STG44
    • Increased lower left arm damage multiplier from 1.2x to 1.3x.

Damage dealt to lower arms is now consistent regardless of which arm is hit.

Light Machine Guns

    • JAK Cataclysm Conversion Kit
      • Decreased ammunition gained using a Munitions Box from 60 to 15 (-75%).

Handguns

  • COR-45
    • XRK IP-V2 Conversion Kit
      • Fixed an issue allowing a faster fire rate than intended.

Equipment

  • EMP Grenade (Tactical)
    • Modular Assault Rig Vest can now resupply EMP Grenades from dead players.

Zombies

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue causing the last player to Exfil from a match to be queued into another match before viewing the After Action Report.
  • Fixed an exploit involving Safes that allowed players to carry more Weapons than intended.

    • Near-Mid Damage decreased to 26, down from 29.
    • Min Damage decreased to 20, down from 25.
  • WSP Stinger
    • Akimbo
      • Max Damage decreased to 20, down from 24.
      • Near-Mid damage decreased to 18, down from 22.
      • Min Damage decreased to 17, down from 20.

Light Machine Guns

  • RPK
    • JAK Cataclysm Conversion Kit
      • Max Damage decreased to 75, down from 140.
      • Near-Mid Damage decreased to 67, down from 130.
      • Min Damage decreased to 57, down from 120.
      • Max Damage Range decreased to 33.02 meters, down from 38.1.
      • Head Modifier decreased to 1.5x, down from 2.1x.
      • Upper Torso Modifier increased to 1.3x, up from 1.2x.
      • Lower Torso Modifier increased to 1.2x, up from 1.1x.
    • We have adjusted the RPK JAK Cataclysm conversion kit to make it a 3 bullet elimination at the max range, as long as that includes at least 1 headshot.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue preventing the death marker from appearing after a player is eliminated.
