MW3 & Warzone players slam Season 5 Reloaded as “worst update ever”

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 5 Reloaded is here, but players have been less than impressed with the lack of content and underwhelming weapon balance changes in the update

The mid-season update’s headline additions were the Torque 35 bow, Spear Melee weapon, and new and returning game modes like Supreme Resurgence. While players are enjoying the new bow, popular modes being removed alongside the lack of new multiplayer maps, meta weapons, and significant balance changes have left a sour taste.

News account ModernWarzone asked what players felt about the new season and one reply simply said, “What did they even do?”

“Nothing exciting, barely any content,” read a reply. “There’s basically nothing here except the Zombies cutscene,” replied another.

“Worst update ever,” said ‘SilentVQ.’ “No new 6v6 maps and a bow and spear that aren’t even that good.”

“We truly be contentless till Black Ops 6,” tweeted streamer TheTacticalBrit. “You added a whole bow to the game. And you mean to tell me the Warzone meta is still people firing the same ARs and SMGs at each other. Where’s the fun?”

Despite the STG44 and Static-HV getting big nerfs in the update, they’re still among the best guns in the game and the meta has barely changed.

Another streamer, IceManIsaac, called out the “horribly stale/boring” meta following “inconsequential ‘updates’ where they change the damage range on random guns by 4 meters.”

On Reddit, the big talking points have been forced texture streaming which causes a ton of lag and packet loss, and Warzone Resurgence being “torture” with the solos mode removed.

Expect a few meta updates in the coming weeks but there won’t be any new content until Season 6 in September. Until then, you can play Black Ops 6’s betas starting on August 30 and progress the Battle Pass while playing
