Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded was another huge update for both titles, bringing new weapons like the SOA Subverter and the Bunker Buster Killstreak. The second half of the season is also continuing the trend of big crossovers, following the major Walking Dead collab.
The devs pulled back the curtain on the Warhammer 40,000 crossover that brings exclusive Operator skins and a new event to the game.

MW3 & Warzone x Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor event start date
The Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor event arrived on Wednesday, March 13, in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, as confirmed by the devs in the midseason update blog.
For the Emperor will run until Wednesday, March 27, making it one of the longer crossovers we’ve seen so far as players will have two weeks to earn every reward.
MW3 & Warzone x Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor event explained
MW3 and Warzone players will be able to unlock free rewards for earning XP during the Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor event. Unlike other events that have come with a specific set of challenges, this time fans will gradually receive cosmetics simply for playing the game.
In order to speed up progress, you can equip either of the Ultramarines or Blood Angels Operators to gain bonus XP in each match. However, these are only unlocked by buying the Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines bundle.
MW3 & Warzone: All free rewards in Warhammer 40K event
There are 10 different rewards up for grabs in the MW3 and Warzone x Warhammer 40K: For the Emperor event. These include Weapon Charms and Calling Cards, as well as a WSP-9 Blueprint for reaching the final tier.
While the exact XP requirements won’t be available until the event goes live, check out the full lineup of rewards below:
- Know No Fear – Weapon Sticker (9,500 XP)
- March for Macragge – Calling Card (21,500 XP)
- Battle Pass Tier Skip – (36,500 XP)
- Righteous Hatred – Charm (55,600 XP)
- Inquisitorial Seal – Weapon Sticker (79,500 XP)
- For the Emperor – Emblem (109,700 XP)
- Psyk-out Stun Grenade Skin (147,700 XP)
- Sons of Sanguinius – Calling Card (195,600 XP)
- Innocence Proves Nothing – Emblem (255,950 XP)
- Adeptus Astartes – Loading Screen (332,000 XP)
- Double XP Token (427,800 XP)
- Righteous Storm – WSP-9 SMG Blueprint (548,500 XP)
The final reward is a Warhammer-themed blueprint for the WSP-9 SMG called the Righteous Storm.
