While MW3 Zombies offers an enjoyable experience swiftly gaining popularity, the servers’ stability remains one of the biggest problems, negatively affecting the player experience. Luckily, the dev team has confirmed an item preservation feature is set to come to the game with Season 1.

Modern Warfare 3 is fully underway bringing Zombies fans a ton of content to enjoy. This new MW experience grants players the possibility to explore Urzikstan and utilize classic Perks and Field Upgrades, confront powerful enemies, and more.

However, reports of crashes and forced shutdowns have gone rampant since MW3 Zombies launch, causing players to lose the items they get in-game, consequently ruining the experience for many of them.

Luckily, thanks to a dev call hosted on December 4, an item preservation feature could be making its way to the game in Season 1 to fix this issue within the game.

As shared by MrDalekJD on an X post, the Season 1 update is set to bring major improvements to the Living Dead mode with the objective of “prevent server crashes” as well as “preserve items you’re bringing into matches in case of a disconnect or fail to matchmake” occurs.

In the past, players expressed their concerns on social media to the Treyarch team, highlighting a significant issue that resulted in substantial losses of valuable content due to server failures beyond their control.

According to the creator, the team is working “around the clock” to fix all these issues and developing a way to allow players to protect the items they decide to enter the matches with and avoid losing their progression in MW3 Zombies.

This new feature is intended to avoid or reduce the servers and matchmaking issues ensuring that players don’t lose their progression and can be able to fully enjoy the first Zombies experience in the MW saga.
