MW3’s missing Events tab forces players to complete Santa’s Slayground challenges blind
ActivisionThe CODMAS event is live in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, bringing the Santa’s Slayground challenges to offer players free rewards. However, many are trying to complete the objectives blindly as a key menu feature is missing – the Events tab.
Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are getting into the festive spirit with the CODMAS holiday event. It brings themed festive game modes to both titles, like Snowfight and Slay Ride Resurgence, as well as a Zombie Santa Operator skin.
It also gives players the chance to earn free rewards by completing the Santa’s Slayground event, with a Finishing Move, Weapon Blueprint, and more up for grabs.
However, some players have reported that they’re unable to track their progress on each challenge, as the section of the menu that explains each task is completely missing.
In a Reddit post titled “Event tab not showing,” ‘OhNoItsMemeLord’ explained that: “With the new winter event, I thought that the event sector would show in the battlepass menu. Interestingly, it doesn’t and is completely removed for me.”
They aren’t the only player encountering this problem, as ‘TheToffster’ shared a separate post describing a similar issue.
“It’s been like this for a while now, you can still earn the rewards you just can’t see the progression for them,” said the OP. “It’s not so bad when it’s just XP based but with challenges instead makes it difficult to know what you need to do. Please fix.”
Since the Santas Slayground challenges in MW3 and Warzone ask players to complete specific objectives, rather than just earn XP like the Dune: Trial of Power event, many players reported that they are earning rewards blindly.
“Same issue for me, but today I unlocked an execution somehow from the Christmas event. I’m not sure what I did to earn it,” said one reply, with another adding: “They are tracking for me, but I’ve got no clue what specifically I’m doing to complete them.”
The missing Events tab doesn’t seem to be affecting all Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players, but certain accounts have been facing the problem since the beginning of Season 1. Fans will be hoping the issue is fixed with Season 1 Reloaded, as there will likely be even more events to come.
