On his podcast, former pro player and 100 Thieves founder Nadeshot shared his thoughts on SHG’s upcoming Modern Warfare 3, and based on the latest leaks, he believes the game will give fans the “original Call of Duty experience.”

Since stepping back from competitive gaming, Nadeshot has always been very vocal with his thoughts on decisions and changes within the Call of Duty franchise.

There have been several times that he shared his thoughts on Warzone, and after establishing his competitive team, he has also been vocal about decisions he believes could impact what was once the largest competitive attraction in gaming.

Nadeshot is excited by recent MW3 leaks

“Sledgehammer is dropping the hammer on Infinity Ward,” is how Nadeshot kicked off his latest podcast, after hearing the latest Modern Warfare 3 leaks, which have him excited and looking forward to its launch later this year.

While he understands why devs make certain decisions, the latest rumors indicating the Ninja’s return as Perk along with the classic mini-map, among other original features from the franchise that were removed, led Nadeshot to slam MW2 and Warzone for changing core mechanics “that nobody asked to change,” making both games “easier for casuals.”

According to the former COD pro player, “Infinity Ward isn’t the same company as it when it started.” He considers that they are suddenly trying to “cement” their legacy, and further commented: “Infinity Ward looked at the COD community, who cares more about this game than anyone, and said, f**k you.”

One of the critical concerns for the owner of 100 Thieves, as he emphatically expressed, revolves around the red dots on the mini-map. Historically, mini-maps in Call of Duty multiplayer revealed the location of enemies when firing an unsuppressed weapon.

Controversially, Infinity Ward’s MW2 changed this, and Nadeshot outspokenly expressed: “Give us the f**king red dots back.” A while ago, Infinity Ward’s surprising official response was, “We do not want to punish players for firing their weapons,” which left most players harshly confused.

With the positive changes SHG supposedly have in the works, Nadeshot is confident the game will be “fun to watch,” adding that the team is “taking all of the things that people love from the original Warzone and the core sweaty mechanics from core COD, and they are bringing it back.” Concluding that this is “the best thing they could do.”

Nadeshot acknowledges that Sledgehammer haven’t received the recognition they deserve for their work on previous titles, but he credited the dev team for “giving us everything we have been asking for.”

Rumors that point out that long-awaited core multiplayer features will return to Modern Warfare 3 are yet to be confirmed. But if true, Nadeshot will be the first one to acknowledge SHG’s work by bringing back what Infinity Ward took away.
