Slept-on Warzone rifle with rapid TTK is meta Sniper support option
Activision Sniper Rifles are a popular choice in Warzone but picking the right weapon to pair with them is no easy choice. Luckily, CoD expert WhosImmortal has revealed a “slept-on” MW2 AR that he claims is the perfect close-range option.
Warzone is packed full of unique weapons to suit every playstyle, and choosing the right combination for you is vital to securing victory. LMGs heavy-duty options with large magazines, while those who want to get up close and personal might opt for an SMGs.
Sniper Rifles are incredibly popular on Urziktsan, especially since the likes of the KATT-AMR and XRK Stalker can one-shot enemies with the right build. However, they leave you exposed when a player gets the drop on you, so finding the right partner for a Sniper is equally important.
While most fans would understandably run an SMG, Warzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed a surprising Assault Rifle that is actually the ideal Sniper support.
In his March 13 video, where the YouTuber was highlighting the best close-range guns in the game, he included the FR Avancer. The rifle has been largely forgotten about in recent months, largely because MW2 weapons have fallen out of the meta.
But, WhosImmortal argued that the FR Avancer is a “surprisingly good” Sniper support choice, boasting nice mobility, an easy-to-use recoil pattern, and a “really fast TTK.” He went on to say that he believes the AR is being “slept on” by the community and shared his ideal loadout.

The main goal of WhosImmortal’s best FR Avancer loadout in Warzone is to improve its effectiveness at close to mid-range, by keeping its recoil in check buffing its range and velocity. This AR also has a blistering fire rate, so the 60 Round Mags are essential for keeping you stocked up.
Modern Warfare 2 weapons all suffer from the same horizontal recoil issue, which the YouTuber fixed with the Bruen Heavy Support Grip, helping it stay on target and rival the more stable MW3 options.
So, although the FR Avancer isn’t the most popular weapon in Warzone right now, if you’re looking for a deadly close to mid-range gun that can pair well with a Sniper Rifle, be sure to give this setup a try.
