Surprising Warzone LMG has “ridiculous” movement speed & TTK after buff

Warzone‘s TAQ Evolvere is a meta option again, with surprisingly great mobility and rapid close-to-mid-range TTK numbers.

When it was first introduced back in Season 1 Reloaded, the TAQ Evolvere took over the meta. However, after nerfs to its power, it hasn’t seen much joy since then. That has now changed, as its strafe speed and fast TTK have been discovered after a small buff to its leg modifiers in the Season 5 update.

It was previously used as a medium to long-range weapon, but you may want to consider it as more of a Sniper support when you build it with attachments to boost its strafe speed.

Similar to the Superi 46, the boost in ADS movement makes you a harder target to hit, which is great for close and mid-range gunfights. I found myself surprised at how mobile I was with the LMG, as this category of weapons tends to be quite sluggish.

Further, Call of Duty YouTuber WhosImmortal broke down the TAQ Evolvere’s TTK using TrueGameData, revealing its rapid TTK within 40 meters. The LMG beats competitors like the Holger 26, DG-58 LSW, and Bruen Mk9 within that range before dropping off at longer distances.

You can build the TAQ Evolvere with attachments that extend that range too, but to ensure your best performance you’ll want to combine it with something suited to longer distances like the Kar98k or TAQ Eradicator as a secondary to the LMG.

This makes the TAQ Evolver especially effective on maps like Vondel, Rebirth Island, and Fortune’s Keep, where the majority of gunfights tend to be within the 40-meter range.

With Season 5 Reloaded approaching, and the final season before Black Ops 6 on the horizon, it’s worth giving weapons like the TAQ Evolvere a go since it could remain meta until the end of the live season offerings for MW3.
