Surprising Warzone rifle is perfect MTZ Interceptor replacement with “broken” TTK

The MTZ Interceptor has continued to dominate Warzone despite a nerf in the January 11 update, with more changes expected in Season 1 Reloaded. Luckily, CoD expert WhosImmortal has picked out the underrated rifle that already has a better TTK than the popular Marksman Rifle.

Warzone features a huge selection of weapons in Season 1, catering to any playstyle. SMGs are perfect for close-range encounters, while the large mags of LMGs have made them ideal for mowing down enemies at a distance.

As always, a handful of weapons have risen to the top and become meta picks, with the MTZ Interceptor, in particular, dominating so far. After weeks of calls for changes, the Interceptor was finally nerfed in the January 11 update, but players were furious to find it was still overpowered.

Many feel that another nerf could be on the way in Season 1 Reloaded and Warzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed the unlikely rifle that is well-placed to take over, as it already has a superior TTK.

In his January 14 video, the YouTuber highlighted the LM-S, a Marksman Rifle from Modern Warfare 2 that has gone under the radar ever since it arrived. He claimed that even with Interceptor in its current overpowered state, the LM-S can already blow it away when it comes to how fast it drops players.

“As it stands right now, with how the Interceptor is broken now, this already has a better TTK,” he explained. “If the Interceptor gets nerfed [again] and this doesn’t, it speaks for itself.”

The LM-S wasn’t the only Marksman Rifle that WhosImmortal picked out, as he also highlighted the MCW 6.8 and KVD Enforcer as potential MTZ Interceptor replacements. In fact, he mentioned that most of the category is extremely powerful in-game at the moment.

“The Marksman Rifle category in general right now is concerning, because almost every single option in it between MW2 and MW3 has the potential to be broken or overpowered, or currently is broken or overpowered,” he continued.

As mentioned before, players are still unhappy with the Interceptor’s dominance, so don’t be surprised to see it receive another nerf in Season 1 Reloaded or Season 2. Either way, the LM-S, or one of the other guns in its class, has what it takes to become one of the best weapons in the game.
