Underrated Warzone rifle with no recoil is surprise meta pick
ActivisionWarzone‘s SOA Subverter is not regarded a meta option, but players may want to reconsider it as its easy-to-use nature and great damage make it a top pick that could excel in Season 5 Reloaded.
With the mid-season patch bound to bring some balance changes, we could see some overlooked weapons creep up the meta, especially as the STG44 is bound to get a nerf.
The SOA Subverter could fill the void, being a strong mid-to-long-range gun that’s extremely easy to use thanks to its low recoil. It also has great damage and a best-in-class fire rate that can shred through enemies.
One of the best things about the Battle Rifle is that it has some of the cleanest iron sights in the game, freeing up an attachment slot that can be used to further better the weapon’s performance, as opposed to equipping an Optic.
One of the major downsides is the base magazine size of 20 rounds, but this can be easily fixed with the 50 Round Drum, so it’s not too much of an issue. It does impact its mobility and handling stats, but that can be balanced out with other attachments.
Even popular YouTuber WhosImmortal named the SOA Subverter as the best Battle Rifle in Warzone, praising it for its easy-to-control recoil and great damage.
WhosImmortal put the SOA Subverter above the BAS-B and Sidewinder, as he described it as “the most consistent across the board.”
When it comes to the recoil, he calls it “really easy to understand,” as all you need to do is use the gun and get used to the S-curve pattern. When using the gun myself, after kitting it with the best attachments, recoil was not an issue, as I found myself beaming enemies from range.
It’s a great choice for the current update, and I can only see it getting stronger after Season 5 Reloaded, as it’s gone under the radar and will likely be unchanged in the update.
Season 5 Reloaded will bring some new weapons but these won’t compete with the Assault Rifle meta, but the SOA Subverter Battle Rifle just might have a say, so take some time to try it out and get used to the recoil.
