The Warzone meta is more competitive than ever, especially when it comes to close range. Luckily, CoD guru Metaphor has shared a build for a slept-on SMG that “beats” every other weapon in its class.

The Modern Warfare 3 update is set to bring plenty of fresh content to Warzone, from the new Urzikstan map to an entire arsenal of new weapons. That said, with MW3 integration not taking place until Season 1, there’s still plenty of time to rack up wins on Al Mazrah before it’s replaced.

Warzone Season 6‘s meta is one of the most hard-fought we’ve seen for some time, especially in the SMG category. The tired-and-tested Lachmann Sub remains a dominant pick, with the likes of the BAS-P and ISO 9mm also competing.

But according to popular Warzone expert Metaphor, there’s an SMG that outguns all of them that players are sleeping on. In his November 7 video, the YouTuber explained that the Lachmann Shroud is his “favorite SMG in the entire game right,” and that it “beats” all the other meta guns that players usually run as Sniper support.

Although many fans wrote the Lachmann Shroud off when it arrived in Season 5, as it’s a burst-fire SMG, Metaphor felt that its unique fire rate actually plays into his hands.

“It also has the potential to get you kills that you just cannot get with other guns,” he continued. “This is essentially a Shotgun/SMG hybrid, this is a perfect gun if you guys are on keyboard.”

Check out Metaphor’s best Lachmann Shroud loadout in Warzone below.

Metaphor’s best Lachmann Shroud loadout for Warzone Season 6

  • Barrel: 170mm Grapple VI
  • Laser: Point-G3P 04
  • Stock: LM Stockless Mod
  • Underbarrel: Cronen Grooveshot Grip
  • Ammunition: 9mm Sub OP

Metaphor kicked off his best Lachmann Shroud loadout in Warzone with the 170mm Grapple VI Barrel, buffing the damage range and bullet velocity to help the SMG hold its own at mid-range. He also added the Point-G3P 04 and LM Stockless Mod for improved movement and spint-to-fire speeds.

Next, the Cronen Grooveshot Grip offers more stability when both aiming and firing from the hip. He rounded out the build with 9mm Sub OP ammo, capable of crippling enemies to slow them down, making them easier to finish off.

Although the YouTuber warned that this Lahcmann Shroud build won’t win many long-range fights in Warzone, he still felt it’s the ideal SMG to pair with a Sniper Rifle or LMG. If you’re looking for a new close-range weapon to complement your class, give this a try in your next match.
