Warzone‘s new Static-HV has a crazy fast TTK that places it among the meta SMG choices in Season 5, but there’s a catch.

The Static-HV has become a popular pick in the battle royale thanks to its hefty base magazine size and fast TTK at close range. It has instantly become a competitor to the FJX Horus and Superi 46, which both continue to perform well despite nerfs in Season 5.

Using our best Static-HV loadout for Warzone, I found myself shredding enemies in rapid fashion whenever I engaged in close-quarters combat. According to Warzone_Loadout on X, the Static-HV is Warzone’s fastest-killing SMG, but there’s a downside.

The fast TTK relies heavily on headshots, so you’ll need to actively aim for those critical shots if you want to get the most out of the weapon.

The Static-HV is already a top contender.

With a combination of shots, the Static-HV hits a TTK of 584 according to TrueGameData, while the Superi 46’s sits at 630. When you remove headshots from the equation, however, they swap places.

This makes it slightly less consistent than the Superi, as although it can be the number one TTK SMG in Warzone, you must get some headshots to reach those heights.

It’s lethal for players who can consistently hit these shots and be accurate, whereas for those looking for something easier to use that doesn’t require such precision, you may want to stick with the Superi.

However, with the Superi 46 continuing to be popular, the dominant SMG looks destined for another tweak soon to make it less dominant. If this does happen, it won’t come as much of a surprise if the Static-HV becomes the best close-range weapon in the game.

The next major update for Warzone is Season 5 Reloaded, but the devs like to drop regular updates that often bring meta changes, so it’s best to start leveling up the Static-HV now to be readyif it steals the top spot.
