Warzone players are begging for significant changes to the Al Mazrah battle royale mode, labeling the current gameplay as “boring,” insisting on the return of a key game adjustment.

Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah was introduced as the central battle royale map released alongside Modern Warfare 2 towards the end of 2022. Since then, the game has struggled to match the high standards set by its earlier version in the Call of Duty battle royale series and the beloved Verdansk map.

In an attempt to cater to players who long for the movement mechanics from the previous Warzone iteration based on the Modern Warfare 2019 engine, adjustments have been made. However, there is now a growing demand from players to undo some of these changes.

Warzone fans demand player count increase

In a post on the Warzone Reddit, user tearsofthekingodm has demanded devs to increase Al Mazrah’s battle royale player count from 100 to 150, and this proposal has garnered widespread support from numerous players.

In the Reddit post, one player voiced: “I find myself running without encountering anyone for minutes. Even the faster circles aren’t improving the situation,” and then added: “Revert it back to 150 players.”

Another player remarked that the “map is excessively spacious for just 100 players,” while some believed it might still be too vast even for 150 players, saying: “Al Mazrah is a map that should have at least 200 players to make it somewhat fun… 150 was not enough.. 100?… enjoy boredom.”

Furthermore, other Warzone fans pointed out that it posed significant server-related issues, noting that the game “struggles to handle 100 players, with constant stuttering.”

While many Warzone fans agree that an increase in the player count could significantly help solve the state of “boredom” in which the game finds itself, others fear that the game will worsen its performance even more.
