Warzone players divided over “chaotic” Superstore Resurgence mode
ActivisionWarzone Season 5 introduced a wealth of content for players to dive into, including the highly anticipated return of Verdansk’s Superstore POI, allowing them to revisit this “chaotic” location.
Alongside its return, given special treatment to this cherished POI by releasing a Resurgence mode, bringing even more action and excitement to the location.
Although players warmly received Superstore, they didn’t respond as positively to its Resurgence mode. The experience divided players, with some finding it “lots of fun,” and others considering it unplayable given the sweaty lobbies.
In a Reddit post, user MaximusMurkimus shared his experience summing up the love/hate relationship, saying it’s the “most brainrot thing I’ve ever played.” However, despite the high risk of dropping anywhere being a “suicide” mission, they eagerly queue up for a game without hesitation.
Contrarily, one user commented that although it is a “cool POI,” it doesn’t work as a Resurgence map. To which a user added, “Not only does it not feel at all like OG superstore, but it’s horribly unbalanced for resurgence.”
Notably, other players remarked on how “full of campers and third partying” the mode was. As a result, many chose to play just one match and then avoid returning to dodge all the “people sitting in corners.”
Some believe the “chaotic” mode resembles the fan-favorite multiplayer Shipment map making Warzone’s Resurgence Resurgence version equally “super fun.” Interestingly, they also found it’s not as “stacky” as initially expected.
Agreeing with several users, the second most-upvoted comment described it as “Multiplayer without a loadout,” making it perfect for a limited-time mode to vary Warzone’s gameplay offerings.
Given its messy gameplay nature, having the best controller settings and audio setup becomes crucial to survive against opponents. Also, equipping yourself with the best weapons like the popular STG44 Assault Rifle, will be highly beneficial.
