Warzone players want Carry Forward feature to bring back classic Operators
ActivisionThe Carry Forward feature brings a ton of content from MW2 over to MW3, including weapons, Operators, and camos. This is why Warzone players want to see their old Operators to be reintroduced into the game, considering the potential for content carryover.
Modern Warfare 3 is fully underway with players enjoying all the content available in both multiplayer and Zombies. This includes several challenges, a lot of weapon camos, new features, and movement changes.
The game also features a large part of the content from MW2 that was carried over thanks to the Carry Forward feature, which brings camos, Operators, and weapons from last year’s title for players to enjoy.
However, due to the existence of this feature, many Warzone players shared their desire to get their classic Operators carried over into the free-to-play title, further expanding the variety of cosmetic content available.
In a Reddit post, user snitchpogi12 shared their interest in having “2019 Operators to be re-integrated in Warzone 2.0 and played them once again…” and added, “I would like to include Cold War operators BTW, just like the MWII Carryover but for Warzone 2.0 only.”
Following the official shutdown of Warzone Caldera on September 21, 2023, players can now solely access the game’s content through each title separately. As a consequence, only the MW2 and MW3 content is currently available in the battle royale.
“It’s not a weird idea at all. The permanent deletion of those operators (whom I and friends all bought bundles for) is the reason why I (and those same friends) are not buying any bundles this time around” shared another user in the post’s responses.
Joining the frustration on not being able to use their favorite Operators in Warzone’s current version, one player remarked: “I would love love to use my skins. I grinded hard… Would love to use that again.”
It’s unclear if there’s even a small chance that devs could reintegrate content from games like MW 2019, Vanguard, or Black Ops Cold War into Warzone. Despite the uncertainty, players remain hopeful about the possibility of using Operators who accompanied them for over 3 years.
