Warzone Renetti hit with major nerf after dominating Season 3
ActivisionAfter announcing a nerf for the Renetti coming on April 9, the Warzone dev team released a new update to address the highly requested adjustments for the Pistol that took over the game since Season 3’s release.
Ever since the Season 3 update of Warzone, players have consistently begged the devs to address the Renetti Pistol, which took over the close-range meta thanks to its powerful JAK Ferocrity Carbine Kit. The devs have finally addressed this, bringing a major nerf to the Renetti on April 10.
Through an X post, the Call of Duty team shared the Renetti nerf details, so here’s every JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit change introduced in Warzone as of April 10:
- Max Damage decreased to 28, down from 36.
- Min Damage decreased to 24, down from 28.
- Max Damage Range decreased to 12.44 meters, down from 17.52.
- Lower Torso Multiplier increased to 1.1x, up from 1.
- Arms and Hand Multiplier increased to 1.1x, up from 1.
The JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit effectively transforms the Renetti into a potent hybrid of a pistol and an SMG, resulting in its dominance within the close-quarters combat meta, especially on Warzone‘s Rebirth Island.
However, that may not be the case anymore thanks to these nerfs, which are expected to reduce the Renetti’s dominance at short distances, opening space for other close-range picks.
Until now, the only weapon able to compete with this powerful Pistol was the HRM-9, which, despite having incredible damage and fire rate, was still surpassed by the Renetti SMG-hybrid build.
It remains to be seen if the nerf is significant enough to be able to move the Pistol out from the Season 3 meta and open up a spot for one of the game’s SMGs.
