The playlists in Warzone are changing all the time and players will have spotted Battle Royale Preview in the rotation. Here’s everything you to know about Battle Royale Preview mode in Warzone.

When logging into Warzone, players are spoilt for choice when it comes to the modes on offer. The regular Battle Royale option is a full-scale match on Urzikstan, while Resurgence is a faster-paced option that takes place on Vondel, Fortune’s Keep, and Ashika Island.

There are also some temporary modes that can come and go from the game, such as Plunder and Lockdown. One of these that players will have seen is Battle Royale Preview, which returned in the February 22 playlist update, but what exactly is it?

Here’s everything you need to know about Battle Royale Preview in Warzone.

Warzone Battle Royale Preview explained

Warzone Battle Royale Preview is a limited-time mode where the devs test out features that could be added to the game in the future. It essentially acts as a way for Raven Software to gather data and feedback on new ideas, without having to roll them out into the main BR modes.

This means that each time BR Preview returns to the rotation, it has a host of different features than it did before.

As of the Warzone February 22 playlist update, Battle Royale Preview includes Covert Exfil and Weapon Cases which were first added back in Season 1 Reloaded, as well as Zombie Power Ups. These unique buffs came to Fortune’s Keep in Season 2, and Raven are “interested in seeing them in action in a more traditional Battle Royale experience.”

There are seven different Zombie Power Ups altogether, each coming with its own effect that helps carry teams to victory. Check them out below:

  • Double Points
  • Full Armor
  • Max Ammo
  • Fire Sale
  • Looting Spree
  • Zarkour
  • Undead Sight

While many of these will be familiar to Zombies or Warzone players, there are a handful with new abilities that they might not know about. Looting Spree improves the amount of loot in each chest, Zarkour buffs your movement speed, and Undead Sight marks nearby enemies to make them easier to hunt.

If the feedback for this version of Battle Royale Preview is positive, don’t be surprised to see these Power Ups added to the main BR modes before the end of Season 2.

That was everything you need to know about Battle Royale Preview in Warzone. We’ll be sure to update this page with the latest rule changes if and when the LTM returns.
