MW3 players are getting a new WWE-themed mode in Season 5 known as Slam Deathmatch, which sees players getting kills through Finishing Moves.

It puts a spin on the classic rules of Team Deathmatch, so here’s everything you need to know, including when it arrives and how the mode works.

MW3 Slam Deathmatch mode explained

In MW3’s Slam Deathmatch LTM, weapons only down players so you need to hit them with a Finishing Move to secure the kill and get points for your team.

All Finishers in Slam Deathmatch will be randomized WWE Finishing Moves, as we saw an elbow drop and various other maneuvers in the Season 5 trailer.

We don’t yet know the score limit, but if it’s the same as Team Deathmatch, teams will need to reach a score of 100 to win or have the most kills by the end of the 10 minutes match timer. The mode will follow the standard Team Deathmatch party size of six players per team.

It won’t be easy to get a Finishing Move off as you can be interrupted. Also, downed players can be revived, so you’ll need to coordinate and protect your teammates when they’re attempting to secure a kill.

When will Slam Deathmatch be available in MW3?

MW3 players will be able to enjoy Slam Deathmatch during the WWE SummerSlam event that starts on July 31 and ends on August 7, 2024.

During this time, Slam Deathmatch will be available as its own playlist in MW3 multiplayer.

This isn’t the only WWE event coming in Season 5 either, as players will also be treated to Conquest Event (August 7 – August 14) and Echo Endo Live! Field Rep (August 14 – August 21).

There will also be some new WWE-themed Operator skins up for grabs on top of the new weapons and more arriving with the Season 5 update.
