Xbox website says new WWII event called ‘The Blitzkrieg,’ first details revealed

Although a listing on the Xbox Store says the new WWII event is called The Grenadier, the official Xbox website actually mentions a new “The Blitzkrieg” event for Call of Duty: WWII, which is set to be available in-game from April 17 through May 8.

According to the Xbox Website, The Blitzkrieg event brings six new weapons and Ground War, alongside the new HQ map playable for free, permanently in Prop Hunt and Gun Game.

The enemy is knocking on the door, so Command has issued new Orders: gather your squad, hit the frontlines, and earn some extra rewards for your effort. Captain Butcher is back to help, and he has six brand new weapons to use in the firefights of Ground War, a new, bigger 9-on-9 game mode. The fighting has even reached HQ — starting April 17, the HQ is a free permanent map for Prop Hunt and Gun Game modes. The Blitzkrieg Event is available until Tuesday, May 8.
