Call of Duty League Playoffs and Championship Weekend dates announced

The Call of Duty League™ has officially announced the details and dates for the 2020 Call of Duty League Playoffs and Championship Weekend.

The first Call of Duty League season concludes in August with a Playoff run and Championship Weekend.

The Double Elimination Playoff Bracket for the 2020 CDL will begin on August 19 at 12PM PT / 3PM ET and end on August 23.

The double-elimination postseason tournament will begin on Wednesday, August 19 at 12 PT / 3 ET, and run through Sunday, August 23 until four teams remain. The final four teams will compete the following weekend at the 2020 Call of Duty League Championship on August 29-30.

The company also revealed that the Playoff matches will be Best of Fives, while the Finals will be a best of 9 series with the Winner’s Bracket team up 1-0.

  • 9th place—$100,000 (2 teams)

In addition, the CDL has announced that during the CDL Championship Weekend, there will be a brand new set of rewards available for fans who watch the event on the CDL website and via the Call of Duty app. Details on what the rewards will be is coming soon.

The Call of Duty League has also announced how the Challengers season and City Circuit will conclude this year. Both of the events will conclude online.

Challengers 2020 Finals:

  • Competitions will take place online across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, with Challengers players competing for $500,000 in prizing
  • The Challengers Last Chance Qualifier will take place August 1-2, and the Challengers Finals will take place August 15-16 with a dedicated broadcast

City Circuit Finals:

  • August 22: Pools & Playoffs – Teams will compete as duos in two Round Robin Pools of six. Then, eight teams will compete until four remain in the Playoffs
  • August 29: Finals during Championship Weekend – the final four City Circuit teams compete to be crowned the City Circuit Finals winner
