Making your grenades land perfectly can be tricky in Apex Legends, but there’s a tactic that you can use to make sure that your throwable explosives meet their targets consistently in every match.
You’ll find a wide variety of weapons and throwables to use when jumping into a game of Apex Legends. Each of these items is perfect for certain combat situations, and grenades are ideal for dealing explosive damage from a distance.
A well-thrown grenade is difficult to dodge due to its quick ignition time, but making it land on target can be tricky in the heat of battle. Luckily, there’s a simple trick to ensure that your skynades land perfectly every time.
How to land the perfect skynade in Apex Legends
Reddit user ‘alanarmando103’ showcased this trick in the Apex Legends subreddit. It involves lining up the throwing trajectory with the target marker from a moderate distance.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Ping the target that you want to hit
- Line up the grenade’s toss with the diamond marker at FOVs 80 to 100
- Fire away after the throwing trajectory has been lined up with the marker
Using this reference will help your skynade land closer to where you want it to explode.
This may take a bit of practice before you get it right, especially when there are a variety of grenades in the game. Arc Stars and Frag Grenades function differently from each other, so you’ll need to adjust to the learning curves.
This trick can easily be punished if you try it out in the battle royale, but it may see greater success in the 3v3 Arenas mode. Keep practicing it until you perfect your skynade throwing.

Best weapons in Apex Legends Season 13
The following list detail the best weapons in the current Apex Legends meta for each class, excluding the care package weapons.
The G7 Scout, Kraber, Alternator, and Spitfire are all-powerful, but they are care package weapons so you won’t find them every game, hence their exclusion.
Best LMG – Spitfire
Now that it is finally out of the Care Package for Season 13, the Spitfire has taken back its place as the most powerful LMG in the game.
One of the main reasons the Spitfire is so strong is because of how many bullets it holds in a clip. Even if you don’t have an extended mag this weapon still holds 32 bullets in a mag.
The damage, fire rate, and recoil are also factors that make the weapon strong, as it’s easy to control at range, but also performs extremely well up-close when hip firing.
Best SMG – C.A.R.
Boasting a high fire rate and extremely fast DPS, the C.A.R. takes the top spot among the Submachine Gun class.
At close range, the weapon shreds and is even very accurate when firing from the hip. The recoil can be pretty hard to control, so make sure you’re within the weapon’s range. With attachments, the recoil becomes easier to control.

The C.A.R’s best feature by far is that it takes both Light and Heavy ammo, as well as magazines.
This makes it extremely flexible, and whether you find a Heavy or Light mag, you’ll be able to use it with this weapon and make it even more deadly. This also means that you’re hardly ever short for ammo, which is an important aspect of dominating in Apex Legends.
Best AR – R-301
The R-301 is the most reliable weapon in Apex Legends Season 13 and has been for a while now. Not only is the recoil extremely easy to control for those longe range engagements, but the R-301 also has an excellent fire rate and hip-fire accuracy for those close-range battles.
The R-301 is always a great weapon to pick up and allows you to be more experimental with your secondary, as you can use it as a close or long-range weapon.
Best Sniper – Charge Rifle
The Charge Rifle is our pick for Apex Legends Season 13’s best Sniper. This hit-scan machine absolutely melts at range. The Charge Rifle is even useful in medium-ranged encounters as well.
On a map like Storm Point, the Charge Rifle excels, especially if you can get your hands on a decent Optic such as a 3x or 2x – 4x.
The ability to put pressure at range with ease due to its hit-scan capability makes the Charge Rifle incredibly powerful.
Best Marksman Rifle – Triple Take
While the Triple Take did take some serious nerfs last season which led to a decrease in its output, it still remains the best and most consistent Marksmen Rifle in Apex Legends Season 13.
As many players will remember, the Triple Take shoots three bullets at a time in a trident shape unless you ADS long enough for the precision choke to pull the bullets in. This is the most effective way to use the Triple Take, as hitting an enemy with all three bullets is lethal.

The Triple Take is great from range, but one of the main reasons it’s the best Marksmen Rifle in Season 13 is because of its versatility. Many players will know that the Triple Take is also kind of like a shotgun in close quarters.
Shots come out fast, and the hip-fire is very accurate. This means you can swap to it and finish enemies off or even crack shields then swap to a more reliable SMG. The Triple Take can do high damage at range, especially when you hit a headshot, and is also great in close combat, making it the best Marksman in Season 13.
Best Shotgun – Peacekeeper
Now that the Mastiff is in the Care Package, the Peacekeeper has taken its spot as the best Shotgun in Apex Legends Season 13.

Players can either aim down sights with this weapon for a tighter spread and thus more damage at range, or they can use it like a traditional close-range Shotgun, doing huge damage from the hip.
Best Pistol – Wingman
This isn’t a tough decision, as the Wingman is only competing with the RE-45 and the P2020. However, the Wingman is still the hard-hitting powerhouse it has always been.

If you’re hitting your shots with this weapon, it’s extremely deadly and a great option as a secondary for anyone with a fast, rushing playstyle. Although it has a slight nerf with the removal of Skullpiercer, it’s still powerful and can still hold the Quickdraw Hop-up, allowing for a fast ADS.

Players discover OP Apex Legends Newcastle technique for getting banners
Apex Legends Season 13 brought Newcastle and some players are now discovering his power in obtaining teammates’ banners.
Apex Legends players have found an extremely strong method for getting their eliminated teammates’ banners back with the Season 13 Legend Newcastle.
Apex Legends players have had a week with all the new content in Season 13. Just like any seasonal update, the patch notes brought a variety of buffs and nerfs, as well as a brand-new Legend, Newcastle.
This new Defensive Legend has made quite the impact in Season 13, and players haven’t even mastered him fully yet. In fact, it was just discovered that he could be used to get banners from dead teammates extremely efficiently, which may actually be a bug.
For those unfamiliar with Newcastle’s abilities, his Ultimate, Castle Wall, can be used to lock onto teammates and place a defensive wall at their location. Newcastle can perform this at a maximum distance of 75 meters.
What players have begun to notice is that not only can Newcastle lock-on and leap to a teammate’s deathbox, but he can actually do it over the maximum distance of 75 meters.
Reddit user RossBobSquirrel demonstrated this in their post on the Apex Legends subreddit sarcastically stating that “Newcastle can fly.”
As you can see from the clip, Newcastle launches himself a ridiculous distance of 200 meters onto a teammate’s banner.
This is definitely a bug, as the Ultimate even glitches out and doesn’t put the Castle Wall down. It also only resets the Ultimate charge to 70%, which is obviously not right. However, the fact that Newcastle can do this means he is actually a very strong Legend when it comes to survivability and bringing back the team.

As this is a glitch, the devs will likely remove the distance and reduce it to 75 meters, even though some in the comments are begging the devs not to patch it: “I beg the gods of Apex to not patch this.”
Even if it is fixed, Newcastle will still be incredibly powerful at obtaining teammates’ banners with his Ultimate, as it allows him to not only have some protection but also get the banners fast before they time out.

Apex Legends Mobile is almost here, and developers have released the launch patch notes detailing the new mobile-exclusive Legend Fade, as well as the weapon changes, bug fixes, and more.
With the success of Call of Duty Mobile and Fortnite on mobile, it’s no surprise that Respawn Entertainment are throwing their hat into the ring with Apex Legends Mobile. The mobile version is almost exactly the same battle royale that Apex players know and love, but with some significant differences.
One of these main differences are the mobile-exclusive Legends, with Fade arriving in Apex Legends Mobile at launch. The launch patch notes are now live ahead of its May 17 release, detailing Fade’s background and abilities, as well as all of the changes made since the last playtest.

Fade arrives in Apex Legends Mobile
Ignacio ‘Fade’ Huamaní has returned from another dimension, looking for ” justice and redemption in the Apex Games.” His dimension-hopping suit brings powerful new abilities to the game, where Fade can phase back to a previous location and can force everyone in his vicinity to be “unable to deal or receive damage.”
Weapon changes at Apex Legends Mobile launch
As well as introducing the 30-30 Repeater into Apex on mobile, the devs have made significant changes to weaponry for launch, turning the Triple Take and G7 into Marksman Rifles and buffing the Volt.
The Triple Take is now more familiar to players coming from PC and console, with the launch patch notes confirming that it’s been turned into a Marksman Rifle that now uses Energy Ammo. Plus, the G7 Scout is now a Marksman Rifle as well, and the Volt SMG has had its damage and magazine size buffed.

NEW LEGEND: Fade
Ignacio Huamaní was the youngest in a family of military-tech hunters. Working together, they made a living “recovering” weaponry and selling it to the highest bidder. As the youngest, he was the lookout, and eager to prove he could handle more. So he took on a contract with a mysterious client, and acquired the suit for him. But it was a trap: his family died, and the suit propelled him into another dimension. It’s been a long journey, but he’s finally back, and ready to find justice and redemption in the Apex Games. He can’t turn back the clock for his family, but on the Battlefield, he is the master of not only his own destiny, but the destiny of those in his crosshairs.

- Fade gains a short movement speed boost at the end of his slide.

- Fade’s suit rips him backwards through another dimension, phasing him to his previous location.

Complete challenges to unlock levels and rewards in the Apex Legends Mobile Battlepass. In Apex Legends: Mobile, items are tiered from D to S. Unlock the “Vermin Control” skin for Caustic and the “SOS Signal” for the Kraber just by starting the pass. Along the way, Gibraltar’s “Gentle Giant”, Mirage’s “Graffiti Artist”, “Ready for Impact” Pathfinder and the “Authorized Personnel Only” Havoc. You’ll also earn banner frames, holosprays, emotes, trackers, weapon charms and more.
The Battle Pass also gives players opportunities to unlock Fade. By reaching level 25 in the free Battle Pass or purchasing 10 levels of the premium and then attaining 15 more normal levels, he’ll join the Roster.
