CoD fans reveal weapons they want to see in Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty fans have revealed which weapons they would like to see in Modern Warfare 2 when it releases as the next premium CoD title.
The hype is building for Modern Warfare 2 within the Call of Duty community, not only due to the leaks surrounding Warzone 2 but also because players are excited to be getting another modern-set Call of Duty game.
Fans have been sharing which weapons they’d like to see in the upcoming Call of Duty game, which is set to follow up on the acclaimed Modern Warfare reboot from 2019.
Through our CharlieIntel Twitter account, we proposed a question to the community, asking which weapon players would like to see in Modern Warfare 2. The Modern Warfare franchise holds some of the most iconic and nostalgic weapons in Call of Duty history, so some of the answers are expected.
For example, a few players mentioned the Intervention, which is arguably the most popular Sniper in Call of Duty history. Others also mentioned that they would like to see the “Spas-12,” as well as a Modern Warfare 2 classic, the Desert Eagle:
“Always felt powerful pulling this 50 cal Desert Eagle out and booming people.”
On the other hand, some suggested weapons that have never been seen before in Call of Duty, which look like they could be a great fit for the modern-day theme.
One player suggested some new weapons that have never been seen before in a Call of Duty game, the SIG SAUER Next Generation Squad Weapon systems. These are new weapons being used by the USA, and they definitely look like they would fit the modern-day theme.
There’s both a Rifle and Assault Rifle model that the player says “look awesome,” hoping they might see them in Modern Warfare 2.
Of course, it would be great to get some returning classic weapons as well as some new models that have never been seen before to distinguish the game from previous titles.
Hopefully, we’ll find out more details about the weaponry soon, as we seem to be getting quite a few leaks at the moment.
While we might see some returning weaponry in MW2, unfortunately, it sounds like we may not be getting classic maps at launch according to leaks.
