CoD leaker claims Treyarch will develop new Warzone 2 map alongside 2024 game
Warzone 2 will reportedly be getting a brand new map in 2024 from renowned Call of Duty developer team Treyarch to accompany their newest CoD title.
We already know that Al Mazrah is going to be the home of Warzone 2 for the next year at the very least. It’s unknown at this time what Activision’s plans are for the future and how long they plan to keep the new battle royale map around for.
In the meantime, Call of Duty 2023 and Call of Duty 2024 are both rumored to be in the works already, even before Modern Warfare 2 has hit the shelves.
Thanks to a fresh leak from one of the CoD community’s most trusted leakers, we may possibly know the future direction of Warzone.
Warzone 2 to get new map in 2024 developed by Treyarch?
The notion of the ‘best’ Call of Duty game will always be up for debate, but there’s no question that many have loved Treyarch’s take on the franchise, particularly, with the Black Ops entries.
Now, fans of Treyarch will be intrigued by the rumor from leaker TheGhostOfHope who has reported that as well as their latest turn to develop Call of Duty, they will also be hard at work on a new Warzone 2 map as well for the game.
“Treyarch will be leading map design for a new Warzone 2.0 map set to release alongside their premium release in 2024. Support studios will help with the asset creation/placement,” said Ghost in a tweet.
Given that this would potentially be nearly two years down the line, it’s safe to assume that a lot could change between now and then, and even if Treyarch are developing a new map, there’s no saying it’ll be for Warzone 2.
In any case, with a far-reaching rumor such as this one, we advise you to do the usual and just take this information with a pinch of salt as we await the official launch of Warzone 2 and new features such as the new DMZ mode.
