CoD Mobile Season 2 patch notes

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 2, titled Day of Reckoning, is on its way. It will contain a ton of cool new content, including weapons, maps, operators, and more.

The developers of CoD Mobile release updates that fill the battle royale with brand new content to keep it fresh, including new maps, modes, characters, weapons, and more. Now, the mobile game is due for another major update.

Season 2: Day of Reckoning is here, and the team at Activision has detailed what we can expect in terms of new content. We’ll go over everything that they’ve officially confirmed for the exciting new season.

CoD Mobile

New weapons: SP-R 208 & AS VAL

The developers have confirmed that a few weapons inspired by Modern Warfare 2019 are making their way to CoD Mobile in Day of Reckoning. First off is the SP-R 208 Marksman Rifle, which is a great choice due to its ideal reload speed and bolt action.

The second weapon from Modern Warfare will be the AS VAL Russian rifle, which can be perfect for stealth combat with its built-in suppressor, and is worth mastering.

New maps: Shipment & Shoot House

Another major change in Day of Reckoning is two new maps, in the form of Shipment and Shoot House. Both of these are additions from Modern Warfare, and were confirmed by the developers ahead of the Season 2 launch.

We expect that the current Shipment 1944 map will be replaced in the update, and the new area will be available for a limited time only.

New characters: Alex & Ghost (voice)

The new CoD Mobile season will bring a brand new character to the mobile game, in the form of Alex. Modern Warfare and Warzone fans will remember him from the 2019 title, and he’s confirmed to be a part of the Day of Reckoning Battle Pass.

In addition to that, the developers have also announced that Ghost will finally be getting a voice in the Season 2 update.

New killstreak: Napalm

The Napalm killstreak has been a part of many previous Call of Duty titles and is now arriving in CoD Mobile.

This airstrike-based killstreak lets you cut off enemies in objective game modes by dropping napalm at them in the middle of the match. The mobile version of this will be similar to Modern Warfare’s.

New game modes: Gunfight Sniper & Tank Battle

Season 2 will add two new game modes for a limited time. Gunfight Sniper will have you equip a Sniper Rifle and then battle other players in close-range combat. There will be a total of six players and six rounds in this mode.

The second new game mode, titled Tank Battle, will have you collect pieces of a tank in order to build it. Once it’s been fully constructed, and you can use it to absolutely annihilate all of your opponents.

CoD Mobile Season 2 start date & time

We already knew that Day of Reckoning would start shortly after the Season 1 Battle Pass ended on March 10, and the devs have now confirmed the official time and date.

The update is set to go live on March 10 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET. In other parts of the world, that is March 11 at 12 AM GMT / 1 AM CEST / 3 AM MSK.

Are there bots in CoD: Mobile? How to practice with AI

Most online games of CoD: Mobile feature tons of real-life players, but can they can also feature bots as well?

Published

on

cod mobile characters and bots

Ever wondered if every player you play online with in CoD: Mobile is real? Well, we have all the details on whether or not bots exist in multiplayer, and also find out how you can practice against them too.

There is a long-standing belief that in the first few ranks of CoD: Mobile you’ll face mostly, if not all, bots in your online games. Players will find that if they can adjust to the controls quickly, then they can rack up some serious kills from the get-go.

However, this isn’t necessarily because you’re an expert marksman in CoD: Mobile, but more so due to the presence of simulated players. So let’s discuss the likelihood of bots in CoD: Mobile, and how to practice against them too.

Do you play against bots in CoD: Mobile?

Even though Activision or devs TiMi Studio Group haven’t come out and directly addressed it, we’re 99.99% sure that bots do exist in online games of CoD: Mobile.

Playing Call of Duty on a smaller, handheld device requires a lot more precision due to its slightly fiddly nature. So it’s only natural that it might take some time to adjust, or you just might be a new player in general that is getting to grips with Call of Duty.

So until you reach about Level 10 in CoD: Mobile, you’ll find that in your first few games that you’re almost godlike – finishing with insane K/D ratios. This is because you’re playing nothing but bots. You can still get bots in later levels too if the lobby is struggling to fill up for whatever reason.

It’s also quite easy to tell the difference between a bot and a real player as well. Yes, there will inevitably be newcomers that struggle with CoD: Mobile, but they still act naturally.

Whereas bots will repeatedly duck and dodge in cover in a completely robotic way following the same scripted path. Additionally, they also stand out in the open not even attempting to take cover and move into completely bizarre positions.

YouTube user ExxotikGaming has created an incredibly useful video that can assist you in identifying bots in a game.

You can check it out below.

CoD: Mobile how to practice against the A.I

If you’re eager to try out some new weapons or test your aim in CoD: Mobile so that you can perform better in actual matches, then you might want to practice.

This is very easy and straightforward to do:

  1. Load up CoD: Mobile
  2. At the main menu, press on the ‘Multiplayer’ option
  3. Make your way down through the options until you get to the ‘Practice’ choice
  4. Go across to ‘Practice vs. AI’
  5. Select the game mode and play a 5v5 match

The game will inform you that you will earn XP at a “90% reduction,” but that’s not why you’re in practice anyway.

So if you’re new to the game, or encounter a strange-looking and behaving enemy, then consider the possibility that they are indeed a bot.
