CoD Mobile’s Mythic Fennec release date confirmed

Call of Duty: Mobile is set to release its first Mythic weapon, a variant of the Fennec, on Friday.

CoD: Mobile players can unlock item variants from Common all the way up to Legendary, but a new rarity is arriving November 6. Titled ‘Fennec Ascended,’ players will have the chance of unlocking the extremely rare Mythic variant of the Fennec SMG.

“Beautiful yet powerful,” this SMG boasts a reactive camo which Call of Duty players haven’t seen since Black Ops 4. The official reveal shows the weapon changing from orange, to red, to bright blue. There haven’t been any details on what the requirements are for the weapon to change color but sequential eliminations are likely.

Devs confirmed that Mythic weapons “will be identical to a weapon blueprint at the surface level, but this brand-new rarity level is all about bada** cosmetics.”

“Nothing about this is meant to alter gameplay balance or make you better competitively, but it is meant to make your item look unique, just like reactive camos or death effects.”

Also confirmed by the devs, Mythic items will not only be exclusive to weapons. We could see Mythic tacticals, outfits, vehicles, and even parachutes in the future.

With this being the first Mythic item added to the game, there is still much we don’t know. ‘Fennec Ascended’ will be added to the CoD: Mobile store on Friday but the details of its unlock are still uncertain. The weapon could be included in random loot crates or be purchasable as a standalone item.

Activision has promised a full write-up of the Mythic items this week.
