CoD RICOCHET anti-cheat code reportedly leaked online
The RICOCHET anti-cheat system is set to make the life of hackers and cheaters much harder in Call of Duty: warzone and Vanguard, but a reported leak has pointed towards the code for the RICOCHET already being leaked which could allow cheat developers to get a jump start on beating the new anti-cheat.
There was plenty of excitement in the Call of Duty community on October 13, 2021, thanks to the official reveal of the new RICOCHET anti-cheat system for Warzone and CoD: Vanguard.
This kernel-level anti-cheat is the franchise’s plan to combat one of Warzone’s most significant issues since its release, which has been a prevalent amount of hackers and cheaters that ban waves have not been able to stop.
However, a recent report has stated that the kernel driver for the Warzone and Vanguard RICOCHET anti-cheat system has possibly been leaked online and could potentially be giving cheat developers a head start on trying to figure out how to bypass the new anti-cheat system before it releases.
RICOCHET anti-cheat reportedly leaked
According to a report by Anti-Cheat Police Department, the kernel driver for the Call of Duty RICOCHET anti-cheat was leaked on October 14, 2021, and devs are working on reverse engineering it, which would allow them to have an advantage when it comes to developing new hacks that will be able to not get detected by the RICOCHET anti-cheat.
Activision has not yet confirmed if this reported leak has occurred or not, and we will continue to update this story with any new information regarding the potential leak of the Call of Duty RICOCHET anti-cheat.
CoD: Vanguard will be getting server-side updates for the RICOCHET anti-cheat when the new game launches on November 5. Warzone will be getting server updates for the new system when the Pacific update for the battle royale goes live later this year, which is also bringing the new Warzone Pacific map for players to experience.
The PC kernel-level driver will go live for Warzone in the same Pacific update, while the PC kernel-level will soon come for Vanguard Multiplayer.
