The second Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta weekend is now live for players to experience, and Sledgehammer Games has revealed all of the updates it has made and plans to make for the game as we advance.

PlayStation players were able to experience Call of Duty: Vanguard first with the Champion Hill Alpha and first Vanguard Beta weekend.

However, the second Beta weekend for the next entry in the fan-favorite franchise is underway, and players who secured early access on Xbox and PC can now join in on the action.

Utilizing community feedback from the first Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta weekend to make changes, Sledgehammer Games have revealed their first set of major changes for the first-person shooter that are effective for the second Beta weekend.

The two major areas that received updates were armor and visibility, which were two areas that were on the receiving end of a great deal of player feedback.

You can find the official armor and visibility Vanguard Beta updates below:

  • Visibility: Distortion has been turned off globally to improve visibility when Aiming Down Sights. Since we’ve disabled distortion globally, this will also affect the appearance of fire and explosions throughout the Beta and reduce overall visual fidelity. This change is a temporary solve to mitigate visibility issues so players can focus on gameplay.
  • Armor: Increased recharge rate from Fast to Slow. Decreased Armor health from 150hp to 50hp.

Another major area that players were hoping to see improvements and changes in for the game following the first Beta weekend was the game’s audio.

Sledgehammer Games stated that they are aware of the feedback and are working on updates, but these particular updates will not be made during the Vanguard Beta. You can find the studio’s full statement on the audio updates below:

“We’re aware of volume and mixing issues and have discovered more bugs thanks to your feedback. While most changes won’t be made during Open Beta, we’re hard at work balancing everything for launch to fix bugs related to weapon audio, atmospheric audio, and more. We will continue to tune audio based on feedback as it rolls in – so keep it coming.”

There is no doubt that many players will be excited to try out all of the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta updates during the second weekend of action.
