Some Call of Duty Vanguard players feel that the game’s audio needs improvements and are now calling for the developers to take inspiration from Halo Infinite’s audio settings.

Audio cues are vital to dominating matches in Vanguard, and many players reported that the audio is far too quiet in the game’s Open Beta, with the developers confirming a fix for the problem.

While you can make up for this with the right audio settings, many players are calling for the developers to look at Halo Infinite since that game has the perfect setting to overcome this problem.

“Environmental effects” in Halo Infinite’s audio settings provide some extra background noise on the map, such as raindrops and things falling. You can adjust the setting to lower or raise the volume of these sounds.

While Vanguard has background noise as well, some players consider it to be extremely distracting during combat. Reddit user ‘Oraclles’ asked for the devs to copy the feature from Halo Infinite in the CoDCompetitive subreddit.

The issue of background noises being too distracting has also been prevalent in other Call of Duty titles like Modern Warfare, and taking this feature from Halo Infinite would certainly reduce this problem.

“Now that would be great. That’s the one thing that was so brutal on MW was all the background noise,” replied one commenter.

At the time of writing, it’s not clear whether or not the Vanguard developers Sledgehammer Games will listen to this feedback and take inspiration from Halo Infinite when fixing the sound issues.

Hearing footsteps, doors opening, and other audio cues can give you all of the information you need to win matches in Call of Duty, allowing you to react accordingly. Hopefully, the developers will implement a fix soon.
