The latest news on Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies revealed some exciting developments for a fan-favorite World at War map potentially returning.

Call of Duty: Vanguard isn’t too far away now, and players are beginning to get more information about its release, such as the new anti-cheat system and map when it is integrated into Warzone.

As we edge closer, it seems the developers have decided the time was right to release a new trailer for Vanguard’s Zombies mode in the spirit of Halloween.

The trailer didn’t just reveal information and details about the story direction, it also hinted at a fan-favorite map returning.

Vanguard Zombies will launch with a new mode called “Der Anfang,” which is said to combine the classic round-based format with features seen in Black Ops Cold War‘s Zombies and some new innovative mechanics that haven’t been seen before in Zombies.

As we know, the mode will be created by Treyarch, but in the Vanguard/Modern Warfare engine, and it will carry on the Dark Aether storyline introduced in Cold War.

During the trailer, it’s clear that players will be going through rifts and traveling across various maps to complete challenges.

One of the maps the players in the trailer travel to is a classic from World at War, Shi No Numa.

In Der Anfang, not only will players be battling hoards of Zombies in areas exclusive to Vanguard, but also the swamps of Shi No Numa, and who knows, maybe even more classic Zombies maps.

Shi No Numa is a great Zombies map to bring back into the Zombies mode for Call of Duty, allowing those new players to experience a classic map and giving those dedicated fans a nostalgia trip.

This particular map was one of the first that helped put Call of Duty Zombies on the map and become the global success it has been over the years, with Vanguard taking the franchise back to World War II and Treyarch leading the development of the game’s Zombies mode. Shi No Numa is a perfect choice for incorporating classic areas into the franchise’s latest game.

Vanguard leaks suggest Infected & other game modes coming soon

Vanguard dataminers have uncovered a variety of game modes in the files, with one of them being fan-favorite mode Infected.

A list of unreleased Vanguard game modes has been leaked by a Call of Duty dataminer, suggesting modes like Infected could be returning to the franchise.

Call of Duty: Vanguard has been a great success for the franchise since release, with players happy about the variety of maps, weapons, and game modes.

With Vanguard on the verge of its first season and integration with Warzone, dataminers have been uncovering details about the Multiplayer. The most recent leaks have uncovered a variety of game modes that players could be seeing in the game soon.

For those that don’t know, Vanguard was created using the Modern Warfare (2019)’s engine. Many have enjoyed this aspect of Vangaurd, especially as its integration with Warzone should be much smoother, as it also uses the same engine.

What dataminers have found is that a lot of Modern Warafre’s content is still within the game’s files.

This isn’t anything profound or official, but it does possibly mean that we could be seeing some of that content in Vanguard.

Vanguard Infected leaks

Call of Duty dataminer sebas4412 recently revealed some of this Modern Warfare content and actually managed to get it working within Vanguard. In a tweet made on November 29, they said “lol like almost every MW mode has functionality in Vanguard, just got infected working.”

It is interesting that they were able to get Infected working, as some of the other modes found like “Tanks” and “Skulls” were unplayable. Could this potentially mean we will be seeing Infected within Vanguard’s future?

As players will know, Black Ops Cold War also had the Infected mode, but this wasn’t released until a little while after its launch.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but we’re sure there will be new game modes coming to Vanguard in the future, and perhaps these leaks are a hint as to what we may see.

JGOD reveals Vanguard weapons you need to rank up before Warzone Pacific Caldera

Call of Duty expert JGOD has revealed the 10 weapons he think will make up Warzone’s meta when Pacific Caldera releases.

Published

Warzone’s new Pacific Caldera map will release in a matter of days, and players are already thinking about a possible weapon meta. Call of Duty expert JGOD has been doing the same thing and picked out 10 weapons players should rank up before December 8.

Vanguard has now been out for almost a month, and players have been unlocking and ranking up weapons ever since. We already know that Vanguard’s weapons will be added to Warzone, meaning players can use them on the new Pacific Caldera map.

Warzone’s meta regularly changes, and we expect Vanguard Season 1 to bring an enormous change. Now, CoD expert JGOD has picked out 10 guns he thinks players should rank up before the update.

The YouTuber has used a few key characteristics to come up with this list: fire rate, ease of use, recoil, and magazine capacity to determine damage-per-mag. While some weapons may have a great time-to-kill, they may fall short in one of the sections above.

JGOD mostly picked out SMGs as weapons to level up, as their fast rate of fire makes them extremely viable. Of course, some assault rifles also made the list, while he also picked out some LMGs to use too.

JGOD’s 10 Vanguard weapons to level up for Warzone

The 10 Vanguard weapons you need to level up are:

  • Automaton
  • Volk
  • PPSH-41
  • Sten
  • M1928 Tommy
  • Type 100
  • MG42
  • DP27
  • Type 11
  • G-43
  • 1911
  • Machine Pistol

In terms of weapons that JGOD would prioritize, the Automaton seems like a good shout to become a meta weapon, as it has a high rate of fire, low recoil, and the biggest magazine size in its class.

Of course, we’ve seen in the past that guns that do well in multiplayer don’t necessarily perform in Warzone, so be prepared to see a shock weapon dominate the meta.

How to fix CoD: Vanguard Dev Error 5537

Vanguard players are frustrated with the Dev Error 5537 which is crashing the game, and here’s how you can fix this problem.

Published

on

Dev Error 5537 is a particularly frustrating glitch that is keeping Call of Duty: Vanguard players from enjoying the game, and here’s how you can get around this error code.

CoD: Vanguard brought plenty of fun new content after its release on November 5, but players have also reported a few problems such as overpowered killstreaks and teleporting Attack Dogs.

There is also an error code that many fans have encountered known as dev error 5537, which is crashing the game and frustrating the Vanguard community. However, there are a few ways to get around this problem.

How to fix CoD: Vanguard dev error 5537

CoD: Vanguard players encounter the dev error 5537 while changing their Operator’s appearance in the multiplayer menu. When this happens, the game crashes without saving the changes to the outfit.

It’s unclear why this happens and Sledgehammer Games have yet to implement an official fix for this glitch. The good news is that there are different methods you can use when trying to fix this error.

Verify the CoD: Vanguard game files

If you encounter this error in Call of Duty: Vanguard on PC, then the problem could be that one of the game files is corrupted. You can figure out if this is the case by verifying the game files.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Launch the Battle.net client
  2. Select Vanguard, and head to Options
  3. Click Scan and Repair
  4. Wait for the scan to finish

If the game files are corrupted then you can implement the fixes recommended by the scan, although this could happen automatically. Once that’s done, restart the game and see if the error remains.

Update the graphics driver

You might be seeing this error message because the Operator skins menu is too much for your system’s graphics driver. In order to get around this problem, you should try updating it and then playing again.

Here’s how to update the graphics driver:

  1. Download and install Driver Easy
  2. Run the software, and select Scan Now
  3. Wait for the scan to complete
  4. Install the crommended updates
  5. Restart CoD: Vanguard

Avoid changing your Vanguard Operator’s outfit

If all else fails, you can just avoid altering your Operator’s outfit appearance and wait for Sledgehammer Games to implement a proper fix for the problem in a future update patch.

This isn’t the most convenient option so hopefully, the other methods will have resolved the issue for you. The developers will need to look into Dev Error 5537 and come up with a proper solution.
