CoD: Warzone players frustrated with “broken” Sykov pistol
Call of Duty: Warzone had added the Sykov Pistol, also known as the Makarov, from Modern Warfare to its ever-growing collection of guns. But the Pistol is proving to be extremely strong in the game, and fans are unhappy and now worried about Season 3.
Whether deliberate or unintentional, Warzone rarely has a balanced set of weapons with between one to three individuals towering above the rest. It’s happened before with the Kilo 141, it happened with the DMR, and most recently it was the AUG and FFAR combination.
With Warzone Season 3 on the horizon, players are wishing for a greater distribution of power, meaning everyone doesn’t need to gravitate towards the same one or two weapons. The Sykov is Warzone’s newest addition, and needless to say, the Pistol seems to be nigh-on unstoppable.
Warzone’s Official subreddit is currently littered with numerous posts bemoaning the unprecedented power of the Sykov.
The fully automatic weapon on its own is fearsome enough, boasting an insane 80-round mag, but it can also be wielded Akimbo-style to fire off 160 shots in no time at all.
As the video showed, the drop-off in the Sykov’s accuracy is irrelevant as its capability to unleash relentless barrages at close range make it extremely difficult to combat.
Another Reddit post went one step further with their complaints opting to uninstall and avoid Warzone for the foreseeable future.
The user said, “I have no problem with fast time-to-kill in Multiplayer, that’s expected. But in Warzone, I’m so tired of looting for 10 minutes only to get deleted in under half a second with no time to react. The DMR/Diamatti meta lasted way too long, the FFAR meta has lasted way too long, the AUG/M16 meta has lasted way too long, and now the Sykov has been released, which is arguably even more broken than the Diamatti.”

Furthermore, STr355 believes that players should not support the game by ignoring any Sykov bundles for CoD gamers to buy.
“If you care about the health of this game and don’t want to encourage these shitty devs to keep releasing absolutely game-breaking weapons, don’t spend money on them.”
There are more Reddit posts in addition to these with the general consensus being that the Sykov Pistol could potentially influence the entirety of Warzone Season 3. It will be interesting to see if Raven Software responds to the weapon’s reaction.
