Warzone players call for Raven to steal exciting Apex Legends feature

Warzone players are calling for the developers to add a feature seen in Apex Legends to improve the player experience.

Warzone players are calling for Raven Software to add a certain feature to Warzone that is available to players in Apex Legends.

Since Vanguard’s integration, Warzone has been receiving a lot of stick, not just over the bugs and issues, but also the new map, Caldera, which is supposedly receiving some changes soon.

Although players were seemingly looking forward to the prospect of a new battle royale map for Warzone Pacific, there’s clearly a lot that players would like to see improve, with NICKMERCS recently sharing his opinion on the matter.

Now, players are calling for a feature from Apex Legends that may alleviate player frustrations when it comes to the map.

Reddit user duffwardo posed a question in the Warzone subreddit that asks: “Would adding timed map rotations into Warzone improve the game?”

The post has an image attached showing Verdansk ’84, the original Verdansk map, and Caldera side by side suggesting that these maps would be in rotation for the battle royale.

This is a feature that is already present in Warzone’s battle royale competitor Apex Legends. In Apex, battle royale maps rotate every hour or so to keep the game fresh and exciting.

This means that players aren’t just fighting in the same locations again and again, and they get to experience some variation when the map rotates. It seems this is something Warzone players would like as well, especially those who miss Verdansk, as one player in the comments wrote:

“That would be great so I could skip Caldera every time its in rotation, like everyone else would. Everyone wants Verdansk back.”

The major difference is that Apex Legends has four maps to rotate between and will sometimes take a map away for a whole season and then bring it back to make it feel even more refreshing.

Warzone really only has two maps, Caldera and Verdansk. As one comment points out, it may be pointless to have both Verdansk and Verdanks ’84 due to their likeness: “I see no point rotating between verdansk and verdansk 84, one or the other but preferably OG verdansk.”

This probably won’t be added to Warzone due to the sheer size that it would make the game, especially as it would likely cause even more bugs and issues than already present.

Perhaps this is something we will see for the reported Warzone 2, which is set to be a completely new battle royale game.

Warzone January 26 update patch notes: Buy Station freeze fix, Xbox improvements, more

Warzone has been given a brand new update on January 26 and it seems Raven are focussing on eliminating bugs and performance issues.

Warzone Pacific Caldera Peak drop spot

The Warzone January 26 update brings a variety of bug fixes and improvements to the game, including a partial fix for the dreaded Buy Station freezing bug.

Warzone has been going through a pretty rough period when it comes to bugs, exploits, and performance issues. Players have been complaining about a variety of things including the Buy Station freezing glitch and, more recently, invisible guns in the Gulag.

Since the delay of Season 2, the devs promised to work harder on improving the experience for players, and it seems that’s what this Warzone January 26 update is all about.

Warzone Buy Station freezing improvements

While this wasn’t explicitly in the patch notes for this update, Raven Software took to Twitter to let players know about “major improvements” to players freezing at Buy Stations.

Although the bug is seemingly still in the game, Raven have explained that the “frequency” of this issue should be reduced for the time being.

As it is still an issue, we expect to see more improvements and fixes for this bug in a future update.

CoD Warzone 2: Leaks, rumors, platforms & release window

Activision are reportedly developing Warzone 2, so here’s everything we know about the rumored sequel to CoD’s battle royale.

Call of Duty Warzone 2

While Call of Duty: Warzone has just undergone its huge Pacific overhaul, there are reports that Activision are developing ‘Warzone 2.’ Here’s everything we know about Warzone 2, the rumored sequel to CoD’s hit battle royale.

Call of Duty: Warzone will soon hit its third year, and the game has changed significantly since its March 2020 release. Every weapon from Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard have arrived, Verdansk was nuked and given a 1980’s overhaul, and now the game takes place in the Pacific.

But it appears that Activision are looking at moving the battle royale title on further, with Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reporting that “a new iteration of Call of Duty Warzone” is in the works.

Here’s everything we know about Call of Duty: Warzone 2.

What is Call of Duty: Warzone 2?

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is the rumored sequel to CoD’s hit battle royale, where it’s reported to be “a completely new game” with “no past weapon integrations.”

Warzone’s sequel was first reported by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier and corroborated by well-known industry insider Tom Henderson.

When could Warzone 2 release?

Schreier reported that Warzone 2 is on track for a 2023 release, which puts it at three years after Warzone’s original launch.

There’s no way of knowing whether it will be attached to CoD 2022 (believed to be titled Modern Warfare II) similar to how the original Warzone was released as part of Modern Warfare, or whether it will launch alongside CoD 2023 at the end of the year.

Warzone 2 platforms

According to Tom Henderson, Warzone 2 will only be on current-gen and PC, which means it will release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

He described it as a “completely new game for better hardware,” so it will likely take full advantage of PC and current-gen console’s power.

We would expect improved visuals, and maybe even the highly-requested FOV slider on consoles.

Warzone 2 gameplay

We’re completely in the dark about what Warzone 2’s gameplay will be like, but Henderson said that there will be “no past weapon integrations etc.”

So it seems that Warzone 2 will be a clean slate, only taking in weapons from the current CoD title or having its own separate weapon pool.

Microsoft have announced they’re in the process of buying CoD publishers Activision Blizzard, so you can also check out the five ways the deal could change Call of Duty forever.
