Cold War devs promise upcoming weapon balancing for Tec-9, EM2, and PPSH
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War developers have promised players that weapon balance changes are coming in a future update for some powerful weapons.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is in Season 5, and despite a recent update bringing fresh new content to enjoy, like the addition of Drive-In, players haven’t been too happy with the weapon balancing.
The new weapons definitely shifted the meta, especially the Tec-9, which some players are even comparing to the MP40. However, the developers have confirmed that changes are inbound, which is sure to make the player base happy.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War developers have been hard at work making the game more enjoyable for players, even introducing the Double Agent: Melee mode to address community concerns.
As well as that, the August 26 update confirmed that there are changes coming to the weapons shortly, with emphasis on the Tec-9, EM2, and PPSH.
Weapon balance changes incoming
In the patch notes, it states:
“As the team continues to investigate some particularly tricky issues with the Apply Blueprint feature in Zombies, we’re also planning new weapon tuning adjustments for the TEC-9, EM2, and PPSh-41 for our next update… watch for those patch notes in the near future.”
Although no details have been provided as to what the changes will look like, it’s clear that we will be getting some significant changes to the two new weapons and the PPSH.
The EM2 and Tec-9 are most likely nerfs, as players have been complaining about their power since they were released, with some stating that Multiplayer is in a “bad place” right now with how the new weapons currently perform.
We’ll have to wait for the next update to see what these weapon changes look like and how they will affect the meta. For more on Black Ops Cold War, check out our article on the dev’s response to blueprint issues.
