Black ops Cold war developers respond to crashing bug

The Season 4 update of Black Ops Cold War has brought a ton of brand-new content to enjoy but there was also a bug causing the game to crash, and the developers have now issued a fix for it.

There’s a ton of hype around Black Ops Cold War Season 4. The new update has brought a new Battle Pass , as well as new weapons like the MG 82 LMG and C58 Assault Rifle. However, it’s also brought some issues.

Whenever a game goes through a major seasonal update, there are bound to be some bugs, and PC players are reporting crashes after entering the Nato character selection screen. The devs have now provided a fix.

The NATO operating skins in Black Ops Cold War

One Twitter user brought this issue up to Treyarch’s Senior Community Manager Josh “FoxhoundFPS” Torres. This led to a quick response from the Black Ops Cold War developer.

The crash happens when players enter the Nato character selection to pick an Operator Skin to equip before rushing into combat. “Yes, we’re tracking this,” the dev reassured fans in a short tweet.

On June 18, Treyarch Studios showcased some new bug fixes for Season 4, which included this particular error. “UI errors no longer occur in the NATO tab of the Operators menu.”

In this same post, they also confirmed that they’ve added aim assist for the Nail Gun weapon in Zombies mode, and fixed a bug that caused Multiple Calling Card Challenge to provide duplicate rewards.

Picking an Operator Skin before running into combat can be fun, and the new Battle Pass also introduced the first Ultra-Rarity Operator Skin to both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.

This isn’t the only glitch to arrive with Season 4 of both titles, as an invisibility glitch was plaguing Warzone. We’ll keep you posted on any new developments regarding the latest updates.
