Some Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players are dissatisfied with how the Multiplayer mode is shaping up in Season 5, claiming it is in a “bad place.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 5 introduced some new content for players who are still enjoying the classic multiplayer experience.

Although most of the content seems to have been welcomed, like the return of Slums and even the new Double Agent mode, some players are unhappy with the weapons.

Black Ops Cold War Season 5 introduced two new weapons upon the update’s launch, the EM2 and the TEC-9. The EM2 is a powerful Assault Rifle, while the TEC-9 is a close-ranged SMG.

While the weapons haven’t caused many issues in Warzone, some Black Ops Cold War players claim that one of them is causing issues in particular.

Black Ops Cold War Season 5 in a “bad place”

Reddit user brando347 shared their opinion on Black Ops Cold War’s Multiplayer in Season 5, with the caption: “Goddamn multiplayer is in a bad place right now.”

The main reason the player believes Warzone is in a bad spot is because of the current weapon meta that Season 5 has produced, claiming “the TEC-9 has completely ruined the MP.”

Although the user does mention the EM2 being strong and winning most gunfights, the issue really does seem to be more with the TEC-9. The player believes that the weapon needs a nerf, and Treyarch’s recent update that didn’t even mention the weapon’s power is “ridiculous.”

The TEC-9 is apparently even dominant at range, as brando347 claims that the SMG shouldn’t be winning gunfights across the map, but unfortunately, it is.

Many other players also agree in the comments, with one user even going as far as to say Season 5 “totally ruined” the weapon balance for Cold War’s Multiplayer:

“They need to do something about it otherwise the game will be unplayable. The kill feed is filled with tec and em2. It’s disgusting.”

If you’re also feeling the same way, it seems many are in agreement, which usually means the developers will definitely be looking into a balance patch for these weapons.
