A seemingly well kept-secret is that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Sentry Turrets have the power to target and destroy Scorestreaks – as one shocked player found out.

Despite the fact that Black Ops Cold War has been out for a very long time, players are always finding out cool tips and tricks about the game.

Only recently fans of the game were finding out that you can make the Gunship Scorestreak control itself, and that the new Hand Cannon Scorestreak is more overpowered than it appears. Now, it seems like the Sentry Turret possesses more abilities than some may have believed.

Reddit user LukeAtMeNow4991 was in the middle of a game of Black Ops Cold War on Nuketown when they deployed a Sentry Turret to score a few kills.

Judging by the headline of the post – “6 Days of playtime and I’ll bet I’m still the only person who didn’t know Sentry Guns will target Killstreaks” – it seems like they got more than they bargained for.

Instead of just regular kills earned by gunning down the enemy team, the player earned a tasty 200 points for their Sentry Turret shooting down an Attack Helicopter.

Contrary to the headline, it seems that many users were not aware that the Sentry Turret Scorestreak was capable of such things.

“Wow. I’ve never seen that happen before,” received over 100 upvotes, and another user said, “Never knew this either. That makes sense as to why the sentries look up haha. I thought it was a bug.”

It’s cool to see that despite the fact that Black Ops Cold War is moving towards being an old dog, it still has plenty of new tricks up its sleeve.
