Cold War players reveal the classic World at War maps they want added
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is already tacked with a large number of multiplayer maps, but players have suggested some stellar World at War candidates for future remakes.
The Season 5 arrival of Cold War and Warzone is imminent, and we are getting prepped for major content drops. There are rumors as to what players can expect and they have been theorizing inventive new Scorestreaks, and leaks have revealed artwork ahead of time.
One of the key additions to every major season and Reloaded update are extra maps to allow more rotation and longevity in online multiplayer.
Rush was the most recent map to appear in Cold War Season 4, and with 12 more maps supposedly due to arrive in the game, players have highlighted a couple of maps they’d like to see.
World at War maps have been oddly conspicuous in their absence from Cold War, with Treyarch opting to favor the Black Ops games for remake content.
But Pandarek115 has shown off some maps they think would be the perfect addition to Black Ops Cold War Season 5 and beyond.
“Should Treyarch bring some World at War maps on Cold War? These are my suggestions… (Seelow 12v12 & Dome 2v2).”
For any players unaware of these two maps, Seelow was a big, almost village-like map with houses, gardens, and a river. It was a big countryside map that would be great for Combined Arms and bigger Cold War maps.
Whereas Dome was highly unique and managed to cram so much into relatively small battle space. The Reddit post says it would be good for 2v2, but in the same way that Diesel works for 2v2 and 6v6, Dome would be a very diverse, multi-purpose map.
This is purely speculation and wishlist stuff, but Treyarch presumably knows there is a craving for some nostalgic World at War content. It’s not impossible to see at least one of these two maps before Cold War’s run is over.
